‘Game Zone’ Grand Turismo 5 & Grid

GRAND TURISMO 5, AT ITS CORE, IS EVERY STREET RACING LEGEND’S DREAM!
Reviewed by L.J. Hodges – The King of race games is back at it again. FINALLY! It’s been a few years since Grand Turismo 4 hit the scene. But ‘Grand Turismo 5′ is certainly worth the wait. This game includes just about any legendary car known to man; including some imports and classics. If you want a number of how many cars are in the game, I lost count at 200. GT5 features the most realistic gameplay and graphics ever seen in a video game. And it includes months of game play with excellent customization. Sorry X-Box 360 fans; but GT5 is a Playstation 3 exclusive. There are no boundaries at all in this game. But you have to get your license before you can hit the streets. Sound familiar? This game deserves 11 points out of 10. But I have to be fair, so I’ll give it a perfect score. Rating: 10 out of 10.
Popular racing titles for new platforms:

Mirror’s Edge (Xbox 360, PS3) – Available now
Skate 2 (Xbox 360, PS3) – Available now
Moto GP (Xbox 360) – Available now

Grid: This is new in the world of race games, but you would never know it from its excellent gameplay. It features a campaign mode with three different worlds or racing (United States, Germany, and Asia). The U.S mode includes urbanized muscle car sprints, derby circuits, and old school circuits. The Germany mode includes the 24-hour Lemans Tournament and the BMW survival circuits. The Asia mode, my favorite, includes numerous modes including: the legendary hill climb (first to the top of the mountain wins) and downhill drifting where you have to slide deep or don’t slide at all. But not too deep or you’ll go down the mountain.
Circuit drifting, in my opinion, is what makes ‘Grid’ so popular. It has the most advanced and Realistic drift scene I’ve ever seen. And last, but not least, is the “Super Car Showdown.” It’s plain and simple. Get your partner and your cars and drift your way into 1st place. And of course, don’t wreck because if you break it, you buy it! What’s the score? A perfect rating: 10 out of 10. That completes today’s racer reviews. Have fun! And tune in next time.
