THE TOP 5 CHIC LOOKS FOR ‘09, by Stacey Mebane
KANSAS CITY, MO – ‘ChicSpring’ is just around the corner and the first thing I do when I clear out the itchy wool sweaters is look for something cool and chic for spring! The economy is tight, but ladies we have to look fabulous at all times. So, I have decided to make a list of the top five hot looks for spring that won’t break the bank.
Sleeveless babydoll dresses – These dresses are flattering for every body type and if it’s chilly outside you can doll it up with a button down sweater or a t-shirt to add a little splash of color and switch up the look. The hemline of the babydoll dress is six inches above the knee. Don’t ruin the look with 6 inch heels; this dress is more flattering with sexy flats.
Empire waist dresses – Empire waist dresses have a similar fit as babydoll dresses but the waist is where the fabric tapers and it falls to the hemline. The new look for spring is bold prints and the good old fashioned black and white prints are still hot!

Down filled vests –Spring is here but at night it can still get a little cool and sometimes cold, so a light colored down filled vest is very fab with wide legged pants and a ¾ length sleeve t-shirt with a belt as an accessory.
· Tunic blouses – Most people think tunic blouses make them look prego (actually that is a stylish look if you are expecting), but tunics are hot if they are worn with the right leggings and straight leg jeans. Try one on with Capri leggings or jeans and once again, sexy flats.
· Ballet Flats – All I can say about flats is they are hot, hot, hot!!!
