MUST HAVE ‘MACHO MAN’ LOOKS FOR ‘09, by Stacey Mebane

KANSAS CITY, MO – Well, macho man. Let’s see what is new and hip for the man that has only two shopping styles, which is: You either love to shop, or you hate to shop! Most guys that have a true sense of style buy everything for their wardrobe in one big shopping spree and accessorize for the trends and seasons.

So with that in mind, the top five ‘must haves’ for men are:

The Belt – A good attractive belt is always a must have for the men. The big shiny buckle was “in” last year and guess what; it is still “it” for spring 2009.

Designer Sunglasses – The dreaded word designer does interpret to big bucks, but if you only shop once or twice a year for accessories, a good quality pair of sunglasses surpasses the not so designer cheap frames that you find crushed under the car seat after a little wear and tear. You don’t have to break the bank to find quality. Most overstock and discount stores carry good glasses for less.

Clean White Button Down – There is nothing like a clean and crisp white button down shirt that can be worn under a suit and after hours with jeans and a white t-shirt for that dressed down look. If your white button down shirt is dressed down, the wrists are usually worn unbuttoned.

Shirt Sleeve Embroidered Shirt – A shirt sleeve shirt with urban, rock and roll, or funky print does not have to match the bottoms for spring, 2009. Look for heavy cotton button downs or a heavy t-shirt and rock it with jeans or khakis.·

Springtime Scents – Citrusy, earthy scents are in for spring 2009. There are plenty of body sprays that smell good and if they blend with your body chemistry, the scent will last longer; and the low price also helps with the budget.

Now, I’m going to do a little math to help the guys that are looking for that special someone or that wants to impress their current special someone. Shiny belt + designer sunglasses + rock star shirt + nice slacks or jeans + citrusy, earthy scent =“HOT, HOT, HOT” and a first date, then a second date, maybe first base or even home run!!! Rock it guys.
