SAPP ENJOYS HIS 10TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK ATOP THE CHARTS, Wired from GospelFlava.com

TOP GOSPEL ALBUMS: “Here I Am,” the latest release from Marvin Sapp, celebrates its tenth week atop the Billboard Top Gospel Charts. In addition, the release sits at #14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Charts and #53 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts. WOW Gospel 2010  maintains the #2 position this week. Still from BeBe & CeCe Winans moves to #3, while More Passion from Juanita Bynum takes the #4 position. CeCe Winans’ latest compilation titled Songs of Emotional Healing rounds out the week’s top five albums.

In other chart news, Hezekiah Walker & LFC’s Souled Out re-enters the charts at #8, while Won’t It Be Wonderful from James Hall & the Voices of Citadel re-enters the charts at #9, its highest chart position to date. In the world of radio, Marvin Sapp’s “The Best In Me” spends its eleventh consecutive week at the top spot on the radio charts. “They That Wait” from Fred Hammond & John P. Kee holds to the #2 position, while “God Favored Me” from Hezekiah Walker & LFC featuring Marvin Sapp and D.J. Rogers moves to the #3 spot. Earnest Pugh’s “Rain On Us” takes the #4 position, while “Resting On His Promise” from Youthful Praise featuring J.J. Hairston rounds out the week’s top five songs.

TONYA BAKER PREPPING FOR LIVE RECORDING: Singer/songwriter Tonya Baker is gearing up for her first live recording. The session takes place on July 23, 2010 @ 7:00 p.m. at The Ginghamsburg Church outside of Dayton, Ohio. The Kingdom Records signee has tapped GRAMMY award winning producer Myron Butler  to handle production for the live session. This album is the follow up to Baker’s 2008 debut solo release titled Special Friend. – GospelFlava.com

NORMAN HUTCHINS SET TO RECORD: IR Music Group artist and founder Norman Hutchins is set to return with a new live project. The live recording takes place on June 12, 2010 at Love and Unity Christian Fellowship in Compton, California. The GRAMMY award winner is best known for the hits “Battlefield”, “God’s Got A Blessing (with My Name on It!)”, “Jesus, I Love You”, “Emmanuel”, and “God is Up To Something”. – GospelFlava.com
