Beyonce mocked on SNL

LOS ANGELES (LATimes.com) – Maya Rudolph slayed this weekend on “Saturday Night Live,” as the sketch-comedy show alum took on everyone from Michelle Obama to Maya Angelou. But the funny lady hit her arguable high note portraying new mom Beyonce.
With cast member Jay Pharaoh playing mogul Jay-Z, the skit (watch it below) imagined the two at home receiving celebrity well-wishers after the birth of their daughter Blue Ivy.
“I asked the doctor, did I have a boy? And he said no, you had a single lady,” Rudolph sings to LL Cool J (played by Kenan Thompson) and additional “guests” including Nicki Minaj and Prince. Justin Timberlake provided some extra laughs as granola rocker Bon Iver, as did an appearance from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (Taran Killam and Abby Elliott).
Rudolph proved a ratings champ for NBC on Saturday, as the “Bridesmaids” actress easily landed the highest ratings share for viewers 18-49. She got a little help from another alum, Amy Poehler, who stopped by to host “Weekend Update” and to hit her and Rudolph’s famous “Bronx Beat” sketch.

I really enjoyed the Beyonce spoof. That was really funny. Maya nailed it.

Thats not what Beyonce’s like at all, do some research woman! Her Whitney impersonations were good, but i understand thats a touchy subject at the moment.

Well I don’t think Beyonce was mocked, but more poked fun at. I mean, isn’t that what the cast of Saturday Night Live does? I found this skit hilarious. Maya Rudolph looked exactly like Beyonce in this. A few friends and I watched the show while we were on lunch at DISH where we work. We watched it on DISH Online and just about died of laughter. I think we all agree that this was one of the funniest episodes yet. I would say that if you haven’t already, to watch it. Now, Lindsay Lohan is hosting the next show, and I am hoping it will be good.

I loved seeing Kenan Thompson. Bon Iver finally getting some recognition haha. For people complaining, it’s on YouTube, the Jay-Z voice was on the money! Such a good sketch!
