Man admits to killing wife
RAYTOWN MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MANSLAUGHTER IN WIFE’S DEATH. By Mass Appeal News
RAYTOWN, Mo. – Self-proclaimed crackhead LaRay Jenkins, 45, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action in the brutal death of his wife, Diana Jenkins. The incident took place in 2010. In taking the plea, Jenkins will serve 15 years in prison for the manslaughter charge and another 3 years for the weapon charge.
On March 25, 2010, Diana called police dispatch and said she had been shot by her husband. When officers arrived at their home in the 6700 block of Raytown Road, they found her mortally wounded. Jenkins admitted to police he had been smoking crack cocaine for roughly a week.
