Mass Appeal Wire Reports
LOUISVILLE — If you have a problem with gay marriage, you also have a problem with Jennifer Lawrence. The “Hunger Games” star, who’s a Kentucky native, slammed Rowan County clerk Kim Davis and presidential candidate Donald Trump during a recent interview with Vogue Magazine for the upcoming December issue. Davis was jailed for five nights a couple months ago for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. She was released Sept. 7 after a federal judge ordered her to stop interfering with her deputies.

When asked to give her two cents on Davis, Lawrence told the reporter: “Don’t even say her name in this house.” The 25-year-old actress then referred to Davis as the “lady who makes me embarrassed to be from Kentucky,” before adding, “All those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight… I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”
As for Trump? Lawence, who’s a Republican, had nothing good to say. “If Trump is president of the United States, it will be the end of the world,” she said . “And he’s also the best thing to happen to the Democrats ever.”
