HOLLYWOOD — Mama said knock you out! Veteran rapper/actor LL Cool J is officially a star. The NCIS: Los Angeles cast member was honored with the 2,571st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (Jan. 21) during a big ceremony in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard. “Just know that I really, truly and deeply from the bottom of my soul appreciate this award,” said Uncle L during his acceptance speech. “And I want to say one last thing, and that is: ‘If a task is once begun, never leave it ’til it’s done; be thy labor great or small, do it well or not at all.’ Thank you grandma.’”

The 48-year-old entertainer was joined by his wife Simone Smith, his mother Ondrea, Queen Latifah, Russell Simmons, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Magic Johnson and NCIS co-stars Chris O’Donnell, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen and Shane Brennan.
LL Cool J is an acronym for “Ladies Love Cool James.”
