HOUSTON — Barbara Bush has game! Donning a Houston Rockets road jersey, the former first lady of the United States hit the hardwood with All-Star center Dwight Howard earlier this week to put together a public service announcement for Connect4Literacy.org, a website concocted by the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation which encourages individuals, teams and companies to volunteer at a local school and/or library to help stomp out the literacy crisis in Houston.

Howard gave the 90-year-old Bush a brief tour of the Toyota Center before the juxtaposed pair smiled for the cameras while posing for a pair of promotional photos. “Dwight is a fun loving guy,” said Neil Bush, Barbara’s son and the co-chair of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation.
“And mom is about as witty as they come at the age of 90. They were very playful. It was so cute to see this shrinking little 90-year-old with this big, tall virile guy get along so well.”
