LOS ANGELES — Acclaimed musician John Legend and supermodel wife Chrissy Teigen are absolutely ecstatic after welcoming their first child, daughter Luna Simone Stephens (6 lbs., 11 oz.), last Thursday, April 14. John broke the news via Twitter on Sunday, telling fans his daughter “already has a full head of hair.” Chrissy, who underwent IVF in order to conceive, made the announcement on Instagram. So, who does the baby resemble? “I think she looks like both of them,” said producer Mike Jackson, who’s working with John, 37, on the Underground series. “She’s gorgeous!”

The happy couple probably deserves credit for giving their kid a name that’s not “too Hollywood.” But they received a little prenatal help from our nation’s highest ranking officer. During a recent appearance on “The Late Show,” Chrissy, 30, told host Stephen Colbert she sought approval from President Barack Obama after her husband questioned the name choice because he thought it was “too Hollywood.”
Once President Obama gave his stamp of approval, John was apparently on board. “They’re happy. They’re elated,” Jackson said of the couple. “It’s a long time coming. They went through a lot to have this child. They’re excited — we’re all really blessed that she’s a part of all of our lives.”
