Kobe Bryant returns to NBA 2K series.
Mass Appeal Wire Reports
LOS ANGELES, Calif — Kobe Bryant is recently retired. But we’ll still see plenty of Black Mamba. Not only is Kobe the hottest candidate to join TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” the Los Angeles Lakers icon is also being celebrated with a special “Legend Edition” of NBA 2K17. This is the second time Kobe’s being featured on the cover. He was also on the front of NBA 2K10. Set to release in September, the newest game in the series will come with a limited-edition poster, a pack of Kobe Panini trading cards and a Black Mamba game controller skin coupled with in-game Kobe gear.

The honor, however, doesn’t come without controversy. Many NBA fans and gamers believe Stephen Curry — this year’s Most Valuable Player — should be featured on the cover, not Kobe. Under normal circumstances, the cover features the NBA’s best player which in this case should be Stephen.
But Kobe is a retiring legend which makes things difficult for 2K Sports.
Who’s most deserving? Kobe or Stephen?
