Salvy Perez has bouncy baby boy.
Mass Appeal Wire Reports
KANSAS CITY — Not only does Salvador Perez deliver at the plate. He delivers in the maternity ward too. The 26-year-old Kansas City Royals catcher and his fiancé made a September call-up of their own after giving birth to a bouncy baby boy on Monday. The kid’s name is Johan Salvador. Salvy, who earned World Series MVP honors last fall, posted a photo of his new family on Instagram with a Spanish caption. Royals officials sent out a congratulatory tweet that reads: “Congrats to @SalvadorPerez15 on the birth of his baby boy, Johan Salvador! ? #ForeverRoyal.”

Salvy was penciled in to bat fifth in Monday’s contest against Oakland. But the baby had other plans. Childbirth has become a recurring theme inside the Royals clubhouse as of late. In recent weeks, third basemen Mike Moustakas and Cheslor Cuthbert both shared pics of their babies on social media.
When can we expect baby No. 2?
