George Michael dies in England.
Mass Appeal Wire Reports
GORING, England — George Michael, the gay British musician and founding member of Wham!, passed away in England on Christmas Day. He was 53. The cause of death was heart failure. Michael, who earned numerous Grammy Awards, sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,” read a statement prepared by Michael’s London-based publicist, Connie Filippello. “The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.”

Fans are obviously stunned by the news. Michael’s U.S. publicist, Cindi Berger, said the singer showed no signs of illness. “I am in deep shock,” Elton John wrote on Instagram. “I have lost a beloved friend — the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist. My heart goes out to his family and all of his fans.”
Michael was found dead in bed by his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz.
Sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll must’ve taken their toll.
But he’ll definitely be missed.
