COMEDIAN TRACY MORGAN WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL UNCONSCIOUS. The New York Post

PARK CITY, Utah (NYPost.com) – Actor Tracy Morgan was rushed to the hospital unconscious late Sunday after collapsing at a Sundance Film Festival awards ceremony, TMZ reported. Morgan was at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards, where the showbiz website’s sources said he had seemed highly intoxicated during an acceptance speech — something his representative denied as “100 percent false.”

Morgan was escorted outside, where he reportedly collapsed and was rushed away in an ambulance. A Park City Medical Center spokeswoman later said Morgan had no drugs or alcohol in his system.

Morgan’s spokesman put the drama down to “a combination of exhaustion and altitude,” adding, “Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100 percent false.” The 43-year-old is best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” and NBC series “30 Rock,” in which he plays Tracy Jordan — a caricature of himself.

BET STAR MONIQUE IS SUING HER LAZY LANDLORD OVER A VERY FOUL ODOR. By Wayne Hodges

ATLANTA – Late night BET hostess Monique is sick and tired of inhaling puppy poop. According to TMZ, the comedian who played an abusive role in the film “Precious” has filed a lawsuit against her landlord because her $22,000 a month apartment wreaks of dog excreta.

Yep. Her crib is funky. Monique, who insists the home smells of pet feces and urine, filed the lawsuit in Fulton County after her landlord sued her for bailing out on her two-year lease that was signed in March. Monique still owes $370,000 in unpaid rent and other fees.

COMEDIAN PATRICE O’NEAL HAS PASSED AWAY AFTER SERIOUS STROKE. By Kurt Orzeck

LOS ANGELES (MSN.com) – Comedian Patrice O’Neal has died at 41 after suffering a serious stroke in October, according to widely published reports. O’Neal died Monday, according to the hosts of the “Opie and Anthony” radio show, on which the comic was a regular.

“Yes it’s true that our pal Patrice O’Neal has passed away,” the show’s Opie tweeted Tuesday morning. “The funniest and best thinker I’ve ever known PERIOD.”

Last month, fellow comic Jim Norton broke the news on the radio show that his friend had suffered a stroke. “We don’t know how he is,” Norton said. “We don’t know how he’s going to be. I didn’t want to (reveal) this myself. I wish we had more news for you.”

O’Neal was also a featured comic on Comedy Central’s highly rated “Roast for Charlie Sheen,” on which he was the target of savage health-related jokes. “Patrice O’Neal: Elephant in the Room,” the comedian’s first hourlong special, aired on Comedy Central in February. A CD and a DVD of the performance were released by the network that same month.

A representative for O’Neal declined to comment.

KATT WILLIAMS IS SET TO GO ON TOUR BEGINNING NEW YEAR’S EVE. By Mary Jane Collins

LOS ANGELES – Actor and comedian Katt Williams wants to find his way back into your hearts (and wallets) by coming back to stand up comedy with fresh material just in time for the holidays. The much-anticipated one man show will be filmed live on December 31 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

I find it quite interesting Williams has named his latest comedic stand down “KATTAPACALYPSE 2012.” After all, many believe the world will end next year. Could his world be ending too?

As a society, we can use a good laugh especially after hearing about Williams’ difficulty of staying out of the news for outlandish charges of partying, being ousted from the BET Awards after an argument with a producer and walking out on his hosting duties.

Also, Williams allegedly punched a man in the face, he committed assault on a landscaper at his residence, he was accused of racial roasting at a night club, and he was collared on burglary and theft charges.

Now, Williams is looking to right his wrongs and provide you with his classic comedy on the farce side . On behalf of the Katt Pack, I’m proud to announce he’s back. What happens from here remains to be seen.

ACTOR AND COMEDIAN CHRIS TUCKER’S HOME IS IN FORECLOSURE IN FLORIDA. Associated Press

MONTVERDE, Florida — Court records show comedian Chris Tucker is facing foreclosure on his multimillion-dollar mansion in central Florida. Records show SunTrust Bank filed papers against the California resident with Lake County courts earlier this week. According to documents, Tucker bought the 10,000-square-foot (3,050-meter) lakefront home for $6 million in 2007 — before the housing market crashed.

The bank claims he still owes more than $4.4 million, but the county property appraiser has the home currently assessed at $1.6 million.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the house is located in the Bella Collina development, a 1,900-acre (770-hectare) community overlooking lakes and a championship golf course. Calls placed by The Associated Press to Tucker’s Hollywood representatives seeking comment were not returned as of late Thursday night.

Tucker is best known for starring alongside Jackie Chan in three “Rush Hour” films. Other credits include “Friday,” ”Money Talks” and “The Fifth Element.”

COMEDIAN STEVE HARVEY HAMMERS DR. CORNEL WEST AND TAVIS SMILEY. By Wayne Hodges

NEW YORK – Like Marvin Gaye once sang: “What’s Going On?” In what has dissolved into a malicious war of dissenting words, comedian Steve Harvey has decided to join the political fisticuffs in defense of President Barack Obama. This week, during his nationally-syndicated radio show, Harvey blasted radical Democrats Dr. Cornel West and Tavis Smiley before calling each an ‘Uncle Tom.’

Harvey was especially peeved at Dr. West’s disappointment for not receiving an invitation to Obama’s inauguration. “I was a huge fan of Cornel West,” said Harvey to his fans over the air. “Have you ever been invited to the damn inauguration?  Did Bush send for you? Did Clinton send for you? Did Reagan send for you?”

Harvey continued, “Tavis, I seen him coming a mile away. His anger started when he had a town hall meeting, President Obama couldn’t come because of the campaign trail and he sent Mrs. Obama. He has held that grudge every since.”

Harvey also questioned the intent behind Dr. West and Smiley’s poverty bus tour aimed at bringing awareness to rising black unemployment. “You don’t have any real basis behind your dislike for this man…you keep masking it saying it’s not about hate. Then what is it about? Poverty existed before January 20, 2008. Where was your damn bus then?”

Oh, Harvey’s not finished.

In expressing his displeasure for Smiley’s request for a three day, sit-down meeting with Obama, Harvey said: “Who in the hell got 2-3 days for your ass? I ain’t got time to sit down with your monkey behind for two, three days, let alone the President of the United States. We got three wars going on, the economy crashing and we going to sit down with Tavis ass for three days?”

Harvey also labeled the duo “poverty pimps” as an insinuation that funding for the poverty bus tour was taken out the pockets of impoverished African-Americans. “Where are you getting the money for these buses?”

I like Harvey.

He’s obviously a successful businessman as well as an established comedian and (gasp) author. Dr. Boyce Watkins of YourBlackWorld.com reported Harvey was recently invited to Obama’s 50th birthday party – a function Republicans referred to as the “Hip Hop BBQ (that) Didn’t Create Jobs.”

So it’s probably safe to assume Obama has Harvey tucked away inside his back pocket.

There’s no question Harvey is a jack of all trades. However, I’d just prefer he leave politics to politicians and stick to cracking jokes.

Love of em, or hate em, Dr. West and Smiley have been advocates of African-American rights since Eve betrayed Adam. And there’s no sugarcoating the fact black unemployment has eclipsed 16 percent. Hell, somebody has to speak out in defense of the meager. My goodness. At least Dr. West and Smiley have accepted the job.

Celebrities came out to kick it with President Barack Obama on his 50th birthday

While Harvey is capable of wiping his fanny with twenty dollar bills, legions of blacks are simmering in poverty. See, as African-Americans, we must remain cognizant of the fact Obama is a rich, biracial, Harvard grad surrounded by a wealthy fraternity of Ivy-Leaguers in Congress.

He’s not Tyrone on 5th Street.

Obama doesn’t share the typical experiences that have become synonymous with urban despair. So it’s probably not fair to expect him to react in that manner. I mentioned “biracial” because Whites have as much claim to Obama’s ethnicity as Black folks.

During his radio rant, Harvey stated something very interesting in regards to African-American unemployment. He said Obama is not the black people’s president, he’s America’s president; which is true.

Obama is indeed America’s president.

However, when one race is disproportionately screwed with an unemployment rate nearly double the national number, it’s certainly the president’s job to investigate.  The race of people, quite frankly, doesn’t matter. If Whites or Hispanics were demonized with a 16 percent jobless rate, the same argument would apply.

Keep in mind, Obama was the first Democratic President since Harry S. Truman to refrain from mentioning the poor during his State of the Union Address. The assumption that Obama considers the black unemployment problem impertinent shouldn’t excuse him from the duty of rendering a reasonable explanation as to why a large segment of his country remains inflicted with double suffering.

98% of Negro voters helped put the man in office.

That same 98 percent, and the USA in mass, deserves an immediate answer.

OBAMA IMPERSONATOR RUFFLED SOME FEATHERS AT GOP EVENT. St. Louis American

WASHINGTON – A Barack Obama impersonator, hired by GOP organizers, was booted off stage during a Republican Leadership Convention this weekend.  Members laughed as he ridiculed the president, but quickly gave him the ax when he joked about Republicans and Tea Party members.

Reggie Brown, a comedic Obama lookalike, provided comedy relief to GOP members during the convention Saturday in New Orleans.  Party members laughed and cheered as the comedian told racially and politically tinged jokes. “My mother loved a black man and, no, she was not a Kardashian,” Brown joked to loud applause.

Brown later showed a clip from Sanford and Son to predict what the president and first lady would look like after completing their first term.  He also joked about former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s ’sexting’ scandal. However, after spending a sufficient time mocking the president, the faux Obama slid in a few jokes about GOP and Tea Party officials.

“Now it’s unfortunate that Tim Pawlenty couldn’t be here today…he’s having his foot surgically removed from his mouth,” Brown joked to groans.  ”Luckily for him, it’s covered by Obamney Care.” A few moments later as Brown mentioned Republican Congresswoman and Tea Party supporter Michelle Bachmann, the music played and a representative ushered a surprised Brown offstage.

Brown later claimed he got the ax for going over his alotted time.

COMEDIAN TRACY MORGAN UNDER MAJOR FIRE FOR HOMOPHOBIC RANT. By Margaret Hartmann

NASHVILLE, Tenn – Last weekend, Tracy Morgan delivered a tirade during what was supposedly a comedy show in Nashville. His statements, which were summarized by an audience member, were particularly hateful and included comments about how he’d stab his son to death if he said he was gay.

Now Truth Wins Out and several other organizations are calling for an explanation and an apology. His words were deeply disturbing, but sadly this isn’t new for Morgan. He’s been saying being gay is a choice for years, and his homophobia made several people walk out of a 2009 show at Carnegie Hall.

UPDATE: Tracy Morgan has since apologized for the stand-up set, saying:

“I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville.” He adds, “I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others.”

“While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”
