LOS ANGELES — Reality TV star Tamar Braxton just got fired from co-hosting Fox’s popular daytime talk show “The Real” because apparently she didn’t test well with audiences, she was too difficult to work with, and the show’s advertisers thought she was a terrible fit. Tamar, however, claims she was stabbed in the back. And she’s already made it clear she’s not going down alone. Tamar, 39, stopped following co-hosts Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love and ‘The Real’ on Twitter before posting a rambling warning on Instagram that reads:

I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters) I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch (?) and it's not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own. But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light. Thank GOD HE HOLDS MY FUTURE AND MY HAND! (Remember who u are)….I am Tamar Braxton. And if you thought for 1 sec u played me…..In the late great prince and the amazing Beyoncé voice you PLAYED yourself? to God be the Glory and I will be taking a short break from ALL social media…until then❤️ yourself and WATCH YOUR BACK ( I put this picture up cause this is the embrace I got from my sister and best friend that she ALWAYS gives when she knows I've been had)

Do you think Tamar was backstabbed?

Will the show survive a third season without her?

Share your thoughts below.

  1. shante “JAZZY” B

omg if my Tamar is gone I’m gone smh

  2. ImperfectbutRedeemed

i love Tamar as a person, but it was hard to watch her on this show.

  3. Strawberri Shake

TBH maybe she was hard to deal with, she speaks her mind! The show will not survive without her though. The network should just give her a show all about her, coz it’s her personality we want to see anyway.

  4. To me at least, if this is true, although in the beginning Tamar was kind of mean to Jeannie, it was Jeannie who was fake all along. She likes to put on facades aka look at the insta posts. At least Tamar was keeping it real. As this season progressed I thought their friendship grew but to me, Jeannies been playing two sides.

  5. Michaela Hooks

Tamar was just to much for them to handle her personality was just very fierce she reminded me a lot of myself that’s why I loved her on this show

  6. Rebellious Lost Alien

yesss! replace her with classy Gabrielle Union from Being Mary Jane. I dont like Tamar’s negativity all the time.

  7. I can’t beleive that. Is this true? Did Tamar really got fired? She’s my favorite on the REAL

  8. Oh my God I’m going to miss tomorrow she was really the only reasons why I was watching the show she is so hilarious and quickwitted and I never felt any tension between Lonnie and Tamar but maybe Jeanie in the beginning but they seem to work everything out in the end what the heck happened???

  9. I am sooooooooo happy they have decided to fire Tamar! The shade she was throwing around the room made that show so unbearable to watch. I am so happy I can finally watch a season without that big bully on stage.. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  10. Tamar was too much. Jeannie is often annoying to me, but I think that Tamar is not professional at all. I work with people that I don’t particularly care for and could do with out, but I am professional and they don’t know it! Tamar should have been more professional.

  11. Zachariah Demylo

How can people say Tamar was unprofessional……The show is called THE REAL…..where everyone was supposed to be them selves and keep it REAL….being outspoken and having an opinion is not unprofessional

  12. Tay Tay has already put it out there that one of her co host stabbed her in the back so we can kill the PR press release. I’m 40 and it’s hard for me to watch the show. It’s for a very young audience that don’t care about politics or anything of substance . What is sad is you have some very educated smart women (besides Tay, Tay) on the panel who would love to talk about important issues but are denied. Only time I could stomach an entire episode is when Tay was on sick leave. From the reports it was the only time they could book A-list celebs. The producers took notice and listened to the audience. All that mouth smacking was not cute. That was always my cue to reach for the remote.

  13. I can’t say that I am all that surprised that Tamar is leaving the Real. On her family show, she seems to stand out but on the Real, she was lackluster and boring. The other girl’s have just as high an ego, and are just as beautiful as Tamar is, and they were having none of that diva stuff, and I don’t blame them. Maybe we expect too much from some performers. Most of these reality shows and shows about varied housewives have stars on them that do a stint on DWTS, and are always kicked off. They can’t dance anyway, none of them. They were lousy trying to dance. Then they have to go slinking back to their old reality show. That is why it important to not burn your bridges. On the reality show with her sisters, they made it seem like Tamar had become this big star who had won so many awards and had so many hits. What happened to that arena?

  14. she got fired for being black

  15. Some of her co-host may not have liked Tamar but none of them have the clout singularly or even collectively to get her fired especially if Vince was an executive producer. I get the impression despite Tamar’s strong ethic she may have clashed with the powers to be and her co-hosts didn’t back her. You only have to clash with wrong person once to lose your job. We also heard rumors late last year during her sick leave about Tamar clashing behind the scenes with producers.

  16. @Special K: The whole POINT of this show is to empower us “minority” women! So to say she was fired for being black is literally the dumbest thing you can say. The producers wanted us “girls of color” to have strong role models in these women on the panel. HOWEVER Tamar just wanted this to be the Tamar show and was really not an example of how women should behave in a work setting. Also at the end of the day, the show is there to make MONEY and she was messing with their money with the advertisers and fans. It has nothing to do with being black… we have 2 other black girls, an asian and a hispanic girl. She was behaving like Lady Gaga would in concert… completely over the top. That makes for good reality t.v. like Nene Leakes but it will NOT work in a daytime talk show setting. I love Tamar as a performer and wish her the best but it was clear she was not cut out for being a talk show host. She and her friend Nene Leakes are very alike in that way because Nene came on to guest host one episode and it was the same story.

  17. Will no longer watch

  18. Matthew Davidse

I’m a fan of Tamar but I picked up that she wasn’t a great listener, especially in the “Girl Chat” segment of show…It was like she spoke over and not with her co-hosts, especially when Jeannie Mai delivered her opinion on a topic (Tamar was especially disrespectful to her at times). Also, I felt like Tamar always wanted to have the last word on everything. Her opinion was always the right one in her mind, even though valid points and opinions were raised by the others. I think the viewers and the producers just got tired of her obnoxiousness and larger-than-life diva personality, which is endearing to us, her fans BUT in a talk show setup, that just doesn’t gel well or work. I wish her the best though

  19. Tamika Griffin

Everything isn’t for everybody. In my opinion Tamar needs to stick with her blessing/ calln which is singing. If she gets her own talk show i really don’t see as being a success. she’s not mature and she’s sooo EXTRA. Never been a fan however i wish her all the best.

  20. God does everything for a reason. Tamar will bounce back.

  21. This show is nothin without Tamar. Expect a cancellation soon.

  22. I Love The Skin I'm In

Tamar’s cool, so it was pretty shocking to hear she was fired but yea I agree with Tamar you can’t trust those who aren’t trust worthy and everybody know when you put a group of strong minded women in the same room together they already think their in competition with eachother so some shit gonna hit the fan soon or later. So we already kinda knew that ” The Real” was gonna become “The Fake”. Its a lesson for her and us when fake ass friends smile in your face all the time they wanna take your place them back stabbers.

  23. well me personally think that she fit perfect with the show.Yes she is a bit opinionated but that is way the show is called the real, a her personality along with the other girls made the show funny, loving, moralistic, stylish, and most of all real. when I watch the show I feel like I’m with my girls. Fox by removing tamar or any body from that stage is removing a sister from the family. I’m in the hospital most of my life with lupus, please don’t take the only thing that i have to look forward to through the day. Please????

  24. jmissy neverson lowe

tamar was so fucking ratchet and loud..she don’t know how to carry herself as a black female(female in general) some people would argue how she was keeping it real..there is a place and time how to act womanly..she deserves what she got.and fuck those who want to say I’m hating..truth so like hate so whatever

  25. Huh …so much for the ratings….Tamar IS the show…strong trendsetting personality….I’m willing to bet a network or station paid them to let her go to sign a multi million dollar contract to host her own talk show….move ova Oprah and Wendy ” “Real Talk with Tamar” will win multiple Emmys…the industry does shadymess…i dont like gossip but she was hard to turn off or switch channels.

  26. yvette TheQueen

Jeanie always has some nice advice. Tamar is always quick to dismiss other people’s opinions without taking into account what they’re really saying.
