ATLANTA — Ladies, you’d be sagacious to get your man tested prior to giving up the ass. His penis could kill you. Cleveland Broadie, 62, was thrown in the slammer for concealing his HIV-positive status from his late wife, 65-year-old Denise Broadie. Yep, that n*gga intentionally gave her AIDS and she died two days after being diagnosed. Cleveland was indicted by a grand jury on April 21, 2025 on charges of malice murder and felony murder. Denise, a cancer survivor, passed away in 2022. It took 3 years to get an indictment. Denise married Cleveland in 2014. Healthcare professional said she had “untreated, undiagnosed HIV for at least five years.” Cleveland has been taking HIV medication since 2006. “At any time, he could have told her and given her the right to make the decision to stay with him,” Denise’s daughter, Karen Young, told reporters.

If he would have just gave her that one courtesy, just to tell her to test herself… It’s almost like God kept her alive so we could know what was really killing her.”

To compound matters, other women are coming forward — claiming Cleveland copulated with them without disclosing his HIV status. Social media reaction was fierce. One commenter wrote, “Was she not getting tested for HIV annually? I’ve been married for 14 years and I get tested yearly. I love, respect and TRUST my husband. Yet, I’m NO FOOL. Along with my yearly GYN checkup/pap smear, I do a complete STD, HIV panel.”

Another chimed in with, “Yall women will learn the hard way about these men out here. Stop being so damn DESPERATE FOR A MAN!”

A third person added, “His dusty, nasty ass too damn old to still be reckless and having unprotected sex. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about no cheating, dirty, STD-infected, down-low man. Single life is the best.”

Scuttlebutt has it Cleveland gave Denise AIDS on purpose to cash in her life insurance policy.

  1. Personally I can’t believe years went by and they didn’t know she had AIDS. It’s very sad she went years without be diagnosed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  3. Trust NO ONE! If you’re going to marry or lay with someone, make them get tested with you, or they can kick rocks. I promise you no amount of temporary pleasure or sense of belonging to someone is worth your well-being and life. I wish for all women in the world to find self-love and prioritize it over any external “love”.

It’s insane that she could go through the entire process of getting diagnosed with cancer, which requires extensive bloodwork, went through treatment, which also requires that patients get bloodwork done frequently….and NOBODY caught that sooner??!?!?? Shame on him but also shame on those doctors/hospital smh.

  26. Now I’m in no way condoning his disgusting behavior. He is completely wrong for not disclosing his status and knowingly infecting her, at the same time we must be smart people. Get yourself tested, ideally you should get tested and make it mandatory for your partner to go get tested with you, same time, same clinic. And if you know your partner is cheating, which in her case she did, then you definitely need to get tested right away after finding out. Had she gotten tested at the early hiv stage, she would still be here. For it to develop into full blown aids unknowingly to her is sadly ended what ended her life. Do not be co-dependent on anybody to disclose their std status, ethically everyone should but it’s our job to prioritize our health first and foremost, don’t wait on nobody to tell you. Go to the doctor!

  31. These young and old backward Southern women are brainwashed and indoctrinated that they NEED a man, ANY KIND of man! There are so many men on the down-low in Atlanta that I wouldn’t date any of them!!
    I think the family and law enforcement are going TOO FAR in BLAMING him for her LUST, NEEDINESS and STUPIDITY! She kept taking him back! How is it that he has HIV and not dying from it, but she did? As a 300-pound+ woman, she had to have her own underlying health issues, but simple-minded Southerners [like the ones in my family] are not accountable for their own actions, and ALWAYS look for someone else to BLAME for someone else’s death!
    She should have had him tested and re-tested BEFORE she was so DESPERATE, married him and kept taking his sorry, sick butt back!

  32. I just keep finding a million reasons to stay single and celibate. I wanted to be a wife my whole life. I only met with nightmares. I stayed single for years now and it’s been peaceful and full of blessings!
    Ugh, cases like these upset me. Actually, my ex husband’s uncle died from AIDS back in the 90s but thankfully was not able to transfer the virus to his wife. Turns out he was sleeping around while working as a taxi driver. May she rest in peace and my deepest condolences to her loved ones.
    Get tested everybody.
