FOREST PARK — When twerking goes tragically wrong. Alexandria Larkin, 29, was thrown in the slammer after she ran over 25-year-old Amiya Cunningham out of jealousy. The vehicular homicide transpired on April 26, 2025 during a block party at the intersection of Forest Parkway and Frontage Road in Forest Park, Georgia. It was also captured on video. Surveillance footage shows Amiya twerking at a red light in front of Alexandria’s SUV before she hit the gas and ran her over. When police arrived, Alexandria had already fled and Amiya’s cadaver was sprawled out in the middle of the street. Detectives initially said there was no sign of foul play. But, after descrying the video, they changed their mind. Three weeks later, Alexandria was arrested and charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree and leaving the scene of an accident. She’s facing a lengthy stay behind bars.
“Amiya has always been a beautiful soul full of love, laughter, friendship, a passion for animals and fierce love of her family,” her aunt Chandra Walker told the crowd at the prayer vigil. “There are no words to describe the devastation we are feeling for our beloved Amiya. We are here to honor her beautiful life. A life that left a mark on all of us. Tonight is not about how she left this world, but how deeply she lived, loved and is loved. This vigil is a space for light, reflection and unity.”
Social media reaction was fierce.
One commenter wrote, “Black girls can’t go 5 minutes without twerking.”
Another chimed in with, “Don’t hang out with haters.”
A third person added, “Jealousy is very real. Trust no one but God🙏🏿.”
Scuttlebutt has it Amiya had sex with Alexandria’s boyfriend.

If you feel in your gut that something isn’t right or the vibes are off trust your instincts and if that means staying away from or cutting off certain people, then so be it!
