ATLANTA — Luke 12:53 says, “They will be divided, father against son and son against father.” Durante Rowe-Tolliver, 54, was thrown in the slammer after deleted his own son, 32-year-old Durante Schofield, over a piece of ass. The filicide transpired on October 31, 2025 (Halloween 🎃) in Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports, Schofield had contretemps with his girlfriend after he crashed his SUV into the side of a building. The chick then called Rowe-Tolliver and he drove over to their apartment to calm his son down, but they ended up fighting. Police officers arrived and they pretended everything was cool. But, as soon as they left, Rowe-Tolliver and Schofield got into an argument in the parking lot. “Are you f*cking my woman?” Schofield reportedly asked. Seconds later, Rowe-Tolliver pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking his son 12 times. Then he told investigators he descried Schofield reaching toward his waistband for a gun. But officers searched the body and found nothing.

Rowe-Tolliver was arrested and charged with murder. “I wouldn’t have ever imagined, not in a hundred years, would I have thought this was the phone call I was getting,” Schofield’s little sister, Dee Clyburn, told reporters while fighting back tears. “That’s my big brother. I will never be able to call him again. He was the proud father of two kids. He cared genuinely and deeply about people.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “These old men are out here f*cking around with young tender girls.”

Another chimed in with, “No way in hell, if somebody calls me and tell me my son is acting up, would I ever think, ‘Let me bring my gun, just in case!'”

A third person added, “Killing your own son over a bird is crazy. He should get the death penalty.”

Rowe-Tolliver is a convicted felon.

Schofield was also a convicted felon.

But he appeared to finally get his life on track as an independent contractor.

I think the car crash was supposed to take him out as planned by the girlfriend and father but that did not work so the girlfriend called the father to finish the job the son knew about the relationship on the low it sounds like a crime of passion because the father had a secret relationship with his son’s girlfriend fr fr think smart now
