ATLANTA — “🎵I’m in love with a stripper.🎵” Law enforcement officials are investigating after 27-year-old Josephine “Josie” Tarwai was found deceased in her apartment. The femicide transpired on September 30, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia. There’s no suspects in custody and, because snitches get stitches, nobody’s talking. Josie’s family — who reside in Minnesota — called the Atlanta Police Department to request a welfare check on September 28th, but was told it had to be filed in Minnesota. Atlanta officers didn’t visit Josie’s apartment until two days later. That’s when they discovered her naked cadaver, layered with bruises and lacerations. We’re talkin’ ass, titties, the whole nine. Relatives flew in town to investigate à la Sherlock Holmes. “We’re broken, we’re crushed,” Josie’s brother, Joseph, told reporters. “When we got there Thursday, we didn’t want to go in. We thought it was a crime scene and didn’t want to tamper with anything. That’s when I called a private investigator.”
The family hired Robin Martinelli to look into the case. Josie was an exotic dancer at GOLDRUSH Showbar. She was also a nail technician and podcaster with a massive social media following. Robin said she has corroboration of foul play. But police don’t give a damn because of Josie’s métier as a twerking stripper. “They told me to show up and request an officer to come get the evidence,” Robin recounted. “I did that and nobody came. Nobody cared.”
When asked to elucidate the circumstances encircling Josie’s quietus, Robin replied:
I’m not a medical examiner, I’m just a private investigator. But in my opinion, it looked like there could have been a struggle.”
Joseph lambasted police officials for putting his sister’s demise on the backburner.
“It’s very demoralizing,” he lamented.
“You lose faith in the police. It hurts so bad to see someone die in America and their death not be checked.”
Josie told friends she was being stalked, but didn’t specify who.
