My mom raised 4 kids without food stamps after my dad died. It was tough, but she worked 2-3 jobs like a champion. Mama made a way and did not make excuses. We ate hot dogs, pb&j, grilled cheese, noodles, and syrup sandwiches. We also ate fried chicken and rice. Either way, we never went hungry. Thank you, mom! Thank you for all of your hard work and sacrifice for your children.
