You’se a fine mothaf*cka, won’t you back that ass up?🎵” Tyvion Campbell, a high school senior at Chicago Tech Academy, had her diploma temporarily revoked after the chocolate damsel did the splits followed by what was classified as twerking during the school’s graduation ceremony — giving new meaning to ‘Pomp and Circumstance.’ Hell, Tyvion deserves an “A” for that performance. The seductive debacle transpired at the Harold Washington Cultural Center on Martin Luther King Drive. It was also captured on video and has garnered millions of views on TikTok. After hearing her name called, Tyvion strutted to the middle of the stage and dropped it like it’s hot. Then she humped the ground twice à la Megan Thee Stallion. It was without question the sexiest graduation celebration in United States history. Man, the only thang missing were clear stilettos, cash singles 💰 and a stripper pole.

Principal Zataya Shackleford was pissed.

She pulled Tyvion outside and blew a gasket.

“She was beyond angry. Like, livid,” Tyvion told reporters.

It was genuine tears in her eyes, and her mouth was shaking. She was really, really, really, really upset. And she’s like, ‘You need to figure out a way how you’re gonna make up for this. You’re not getting your diploma until you figure out a way how you’re gonna make up for what you just did.’”

Tyvion received her diploma a few days later. “I’ve been telling these people for weeks that I was gonna do a split on stage,” she explained. “It was not a surprise. They just thought I was joking, and that’s the problem. Now, don’t think I’m joking, because I’m not. Honestly, I didn’t think it was a twerk. I thought I was just doing a split. I apologize to anyone who thought it was inappropriate.”

“I am truly sorry,” Tyvion continued.

“But I have no regrets at the same time. I would definitely say make sure you get your diploma first, then do your dance. No matter what, I do deserve this diploma. I worked twelve hard, long years for this diploma and for the education and experience that comes behind it.”

Social media reaction was hilarious.

When asked about the backlash she received online, Tyvion said: “It’s a lot of 50-50 comments. A lot of people think maybe it was a bit inappropriate and others think that it wasn’t anything wrong with it. I just appreciate everybody for giving their opinion.”

What’s my take?

Tyvion is young, she did nothin’ illegal and she wasn’t scantily clad.

Music and dance are integral parts of black culture.

Graduation is a big deal.

The way I see it, Tyvion didn’t hurt anyone by gettin’ low.

Was it ill-advised?

Probably.

But no harm, no foul.

Geez people, get a life.

Society has way bigger fish 🐟 to fry (i.e., War in Iran, Unemployment, Homelessness, Single-Parent Households, Pookie & Ray Ray). 

Besides… had it been somebody from the LGBT community🌈, this wouldn’t be an issue.

America is 100 percent against all things heterosexual.

Young men in skinny jeans are painting their nails, carrying purses and getting hair weave.

Tyvion will attend Georgia State University this fall where she’ll major in exotic dancing… er, I mean business administration.
