Trump ends shutdown.

Blog King, Mass Appeal

WASHINGTON — Took 43 days. But it’s finally over. President Donald Trump signed a government funding bill on Wednesday to bring about the cessation of the longest shutdown in U.S. history. That means federal employees can return to work, airline delays are coming to a screeching halt, and 42 million EBT cardholders will get their food stamps just in time for the holiday season. Trump, flanked by Republicans, inked the indenture at the White House before blaming Democrats for the stalemate. “Today, we are sending a clear message that we will never give in to extortion,” Trump said. “So, I just want to tell the American people you should not forget this when we come up to midterms and other things. Don’t forget what they’ve done to our country.” Social media reaction was vicious. One commenter wrote, “Cool!! He can sign the release of the Epstein files now.”

Another chimed in with, “Republicans don’t care about the American people, only their billionaire friends!”

A third person added, “Trump is the new Biden.😂”

House speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and House Republican Conference Chair Lisa McClain were among those who joined the Commander-in-Chief in the Oval Office. The good news is the stoppage wasn’t a total waste. That’s because President Trump and his administration discovered a widespread misuse of SNAP benefits during the shutdown. They learned 5,000 dead people were still receiving food stamps, and many cardholders sold their benefits like prostitutes sell pussy.

“We have found thousands and thousands of illegal use of the EBT card,” Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins told reporters.

We have been moving people off of SNAP, we’ve got about 700,000 people that we’ve moved off SNAP since the president took office, and we’ve arrested about 118 people.”

Trump will now shift his immediate cynosure to a stimulus package that will pay 150 million Americans $2,000 in tariff dividends.

But, we won’t get it until 2026.

Budget experts believe Trump is either senile with dementia or he’s bad at math.

That’s because his tariffs are bringing in roughly $300 billion a year in revenue, but it will cost $600 billion to send each eligible American a $2,000 check.

“The numbers don’t check out,” said economist Erica York.

Who do you blame for the shutdown? Democrats or Republicans?

  1. Democrats don’t care about anyone. They would have continued the shutdown a lot longer.

  2. It’s about balance and working together so both have to be able to compromise. No one party will get everything that they want entirely.
