Martin doesn’t look healthy.

LOS ANGELES — Not sure what’s going on with Martin Lawrence. But you can’t conceal bad health. At the red carpet premiere of Martin’s new film “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” the 59-year-old actor slurred his words during an interview and he was visibly unsteady as he held on to costar Will Smith for support. His countenance was also swollen. Martin looked sick. Now there’s scuttlebutt he had a stroke. Martin appeared on a recent episode of Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” to give an elucidation. “Now Martin, everybody’s talking [about] you on the balcony waving at people, [you’re] looking around… Were you looking around like, ‘Yo, this is massive?’” host Ebro Darden inquired. “Because people took it like there was something wrong with your health.” Martin claimed he’s perfectly fine. He was simply caught off guard by the huge turnout. “I was like, oh, this is rock concert stuff. What the hell is going on? I was like, for a movie?” Martin explained. “I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed, you know? I’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “Martin is damn near 60. He’s old. Sh*t happens healthwise. Leave the man alone.”

Another person added, “The new movie is f*ckin’ trash. I like the first the best.”

Can’t blame fans for being worried. After all, Martin has a history of health issues. If you recall, he collapsed in 1999 due to acute heat exhaustion and was comatose for 3 days. Three years before that, with a pistol in his pocket, a deranged Martin ran into traffic and proceeded to scream and cuss at oncoming cars until he was taken away by police and hospitalized.

“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is the fourth entry in the long-running action franchise.

Variety magazine critic Owen Gleiberman gave the film a kick-ass review, writing: “The two stars are in top form, and so past being too old for this sh*t that it almost seems young again.”

What’s my take on the movie?

Given the fact Will and Martin are damn near 60, I thought it was cool. The most disappointing thing, however, was they purloined the cessation from Eddie Murphy’s 1990 action comedy “Another 48 Hours” — you know, when detective Jack Cates shot ex-con Reggie Hammond in the torso before emptying the clip on the Iceman. Well, Mike Lowrey did the same bullsh*t to Marcus Burnett before finishing off cartel boss James McGrath with a flurry of gunshots. I was like, “They straight copied that sh*t.”

But — again — given Will and Martin’s advanced age, I thought the film was decent.

That being said, there shouldn’t be a Bad Boys 5.

No sir.

The director had Will and Martin suffering heart attacks every action scene.

For a minute, I thought I was watching “Sanford & Son.”

We don’t need another sequel.

Please, end the sh*t now.

  1. He’s just getting old. But definitely problems occurring due to that. Sad but everyone has there time.

  2. I love Martin and I hope he stays with us for many more years. He looks good still to be 59.

  3. These guys are older, and with cognitive decline and our body changes, it happens to all of us even starting in your 40’s when your memory starts to slip a little and it’s all downhill from there y’all wait and see. I think especially because of the digital age we live in people feel like he should still look and act the way he was back in the day when he was in his 20’s and 30’s. We’ve forgotten these are human beings that get old just like us.

  4. If Martin had a stroke and don’t want to share I am good with that people just sharing too much of themselves these days

  5. Obviously something is different so is his decision not to share with us.. I still love him!!!

  6. We all may just be used to to seeing the younger version of Martin. I thought something happened to him as well until I just realized, he’s 60 yrs old! Let’s all pray we have half his energy at that age.

  7. Martin had a few strokes. You’re never the same after having a stroke. Let’s keep Martin in our Prayers.

  8. Martin has suffered a few strokes and he’s also Bipolar!
Could be a reaction to his meds.😥

  9. Its pretty obvious that he is having issues, but typical Will Smith Style they aint gonna reveal the truth until they absolutely HAVE to. We still Praying for his continued health and prosperity. Martin is a legend. God Bless.

  10. Martin Lawrence face is bloated plus looks unhealthy….. looks like he has health issues

  11. He’s a fucking clone people…..Will Smith is his handler……wake up….Martin been dead….

  12. Dave Chappelle said that Martin Lawrence had a stroke during the filming of Blue Streak. Can’t deny that one.

  13. Martin has been acting like that for years now. I think he has been off since suffering that heat stroke years ago

  14. The media has a problem of bringing out negative issues about celebrities. Martin Lawrence has nothing to prove to anyone. Leave him alone and let him live his life, no matter how it is and pray for him, as we all should be praying for each other’s well being and be kind to each other. I say this with love

  15. Martin started looking overwhelmed since the last season of Martin (Season 5) his eyes shown tiredness

  16. I think Martin had a stroke, and Jamie had a heart attack. However, celebrities don’t have to share every part of their life. Their medical issues are their business.

They are not obligated to tell fans anything about their personal life. At what point does that obligation stop? Maybe they don’t want people playing doctor and dictating what they can and can’t do.

  17. I still dont think they’ve outdone badboys 2 but 4 was way better than I expected great movie

  18. I noticed this a year or so ago. I’ve come to my own opinion thinking it’s a heavy drinking problem or maybe he’s on the path to a stroke. It only makes sense by the way he moves, slurs his words and talks slow, and his eyes are always glossy with a yellowish tint

  19. These blockbuster films always have the fastest PR teams. There’s something wrong with Martin. His eyes are yellowish gray and he’s moving as if he needs a guide.
