‘House of the Dragonš²’ definitely worth the wait

The House is back.Ā

LONDON — Season 3 of HBO’s Game of Thrones series “House of the Dragonš²” premiered on Sunday and, dude, it’s worth a standing ovation. After the producer f*cked us in the Season 2 finale, this installment couldn’t have started any better. After being forced to wait for a year, we were finally treated to the epic Battle of the Gullet, a throat-slashing naval confrontation between the Velaryon fleet – led by my n*gga Lord Corlys (aka the Sea Snake) – and the Triarchy led by female commander Sharako Lohar. There was blood and guts everywhere, making it arguably the greatest sea battle ever. Social media reaction was in agreement. One commenter wrote, “This episode was better than the entire second season.” Another chimed in with, “F*ck, just f*ck! Game of Thrones is finally back!!! This was not a boring episode. Nothing but action from start to finish. I was so worried coming into this season. Now I’m excited as f*ck!” A third person added, “This was such a badass start to the season.”

King Aegon II, once comatose, has escaped King’s Landing. He’s back on his feet, but he’s severely injured from his dragon battle at Rook’s Rest and his countenance is maimed. Aegon swore reprisal against his treasonous, one-eyed brother — Aemond — for usurping the throne that he usurped from Queen Rhaenyra. Can’t wait to see ’em fight. Speaking of Aemond… he needs his ass whooped for tongue-kissing his own mother, Queen Alicent. That sh*t was outta pocket. She should’ve slapped his ass.
Speaking of incest… Rhaenyra is still an unfit mother deserving of an investigation by Child Protective Services.
First, she f*cked her uncle (Prince Daemon) before giving him her hand in marriage.
Then she miscarried their stillborn daughter in one of the most disgusting, sanguinary scenes in cinematic history.
Now her incompetence is getting her children killed.
New episodes of “House of the Dragon” premiere each Sunday.
But it’s imperative to binge-watch seasons one and two first.

Episodes like 3 and 4 are needed. You need setup, you need to explore characters origins and motivations, these are the seeds needed for the inevitable death scenes. Or the seeds of prevalence. Episode 3 did a great job of showing what occurs after the election or war; new aides, new deals, taxes, religion, agriculture, getting new staff and council. Episode 4 deal with exploring new players Ormund and Daeron. Aka the new Otto and Alicent.
Been such a great season so far
“Corlys leaves again”…….
Are there any healthy fathers/father figures in this show???
I find myself rooting for Aegon. RISE SUNFYRE!
Rhaenyra needs a 4 day weekend in YiTi… She’s been through A LOT! Daemon and the Dragon Seeds can hold it down for a minute while she’s gone… but poor baby hasn’t had ANY Time to grieve her son and heir!
Ormund is one of those great characters you love to hate.
Without their dragons. We see what becomes of House Targaryen.
I know the rat catchers got killed but damn can they do something to get rid of them damn rats?
@iGot5Onit: Have you heard the theory that the rats š are haunting Rhaenyra because of little Jaehaerysā death with Blood and Cheese?
This is a show only choice cause the rats are already dealt with in the books, cause Otto brought in cats after Aegon killed the rat catchers. I know in the books both Rhaenyra and Daemon knowingly called for his death and the show has made it solely Daemonās fault, but she still holds blame regardless because she did not denounce his actions publicly or apologize to Helaena.
There has to be something to be said that the show references Luke and Jaceās deaths repeatedly, but there hasnāt been pretty much any mention of Jaehaerys since his funeral. Thatās a little crazy! I get he was a kid we saw very little, but still he was Aegonās heir! There should be more emphasis on him quite literally getting beheaded in front of his mama and sister, but it is barely even acknowledged. We can show Rhaenyra grieving her stillborn and her sons and even grieving her daddy aka the King who set them all up for failure, but no grief for Helaena or Aegon or even Alicent as the grandma? Itās wild! Let them rats haunt them all, letting all this tragedy happen over an uncomfortable throne that none of them are suited for anyway!
It’s crazy that lord corlys asked for legitimacy for his son’s after ignoring them for 30 years š
Daeron has probably been on the receiving end of Ormund’s wrath many times which would be how he recognizes the warning signs so tells the servants to get out.
𤣠Couldn’t take seeing Aegon kiss the doo-doo boots, huh? š¤£
The audacity of Ormund to talk shit about the Targaryens while using a dragon rider as a tool of war while using a Valyrian Steel sword
QUEEN OF BASTARDS!!!!!
While watching the show I learned “gelded” means cutting off your balls.
Caraxes is more than a nuclear weapon. I love that dragon. The sound it makes is so coooool
Rhaenyra’s view of basterds and how she treats them is interesting considering how she willingly handicapped herself from the beginning by having, not 1, not 2, but 3 basterd sons. Being a hypocrite is one of her many traits that irked me from the beginning. She is the type to want to have her cake and eat it too. She knew from the beginning the uphill battle becoming queen would be, but was selfish and unwilling to make the sacrifices people who have goals and ambitions for big achievements do. And here she now sits with those “mistakes” bitting her at every corner.
Rhaenyra is like the white liberal mom who calls her mixed kid the N word when sheās mad. She claims to love the small folk but looks down and pityās them. The same discrimination that prevented her from claiming the throne she herself perpetuates.
