BRISTOL — “🎵I want your love and I want your revenge. You and me could write a bad romance.🎵” First, Joy Taylor received a pink slip from Fox Sports. Now this. Molly Qerim — the prepossessing brunette and co-host of “First Take,” best known for interrupting when mothaf*ckas are talking — quit ESPN on Monday without giving a 2-week notice. Yessir. Babygirl walked away after 10 years of working alongside Stephen A. Smith, who she was f*cking on the side. Molly disseminated her resignation via Instagram. “After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this incredible chapter and step away from First Take,” she wrote. “Hosting this show has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Every morning, I had the privilege of sharing the desk with some of the most brilliant, passionate, and entertaining voices in sports — and with all of you, the best fans in the world.”

“I’m so grateful for what this journey has given me,” Molly continued.

“Lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and the chance to be part of something truly special. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for welcoming me into your homes.”

Stephen A. said Molly’s resignation “came as a shock,” even though she failed to work out a contract extension with ESPN. The 57-year-old sportscaster expressed disappointment on his self-titled podcast. “To say that I’m quite sad about it is an understatement,” Stephen A. bemoaned. “Molly is a friend. Molly is a co-worker. Molly is somebody that I’ve leaned on many occasions in the past.”

“We’ve been partners on the show for the last 10 years,” Stephen A. continued.

The details, quite frankly, are none of y’all’ business. It’s not as if I know all the details. It was a contract negotiation that was going on. ESPN certainly did not want to lose her. But, in the end, she made her decision to walk away from the show effective immediately.”

Emmanuel Acho, recently fired from Fox Sports, excoriated Stephen A. for not being transparent. “Don’t tell us the details, then tell us you’re not gonna tell us the details,” Acho said on Tuesday’s edition of Speakeasy. “He said she abruptly resigned. That’s a detail! And then you’re gonna say, ‘But don’t ask me the details, cause I’m not gonna tell you all the details, that’s none of y’all business…’”

Stephen A. is earning roughly $40 million a year.

Molly, who’s making $500,000 annually, wants something homogeneous.

Does she deserve it?

Will you miss her?

  1. I don’t blame her. If you gonna pay Stephen A. all that money, pay me too or let him be successful without me.

  2. It’s about fucking time, that lady is annoying. She overstayed her welcome by years.

  3. 😂 shit I only watched the show to see Molly 😤 everyone knows Steven was jealous 😮🤣👀

  4. Acho really needs to STFU… he was quiet about fucking Joy but now he wants to be all up in someone else’s business 🤦🏿

  5. S.A.S. Is a sick NARCISSISTIC human. All he does is talk at his audience and not to them. Bla bla bla nonsense coming out of his mouth. How anyone could watch or listen to this CLOWN is beyond me

  6. First Take has become a soap opera. Max fallout. Shannon crash. Molly abrupt exit. Next shoe to drop.?

  7. Can’t believe Acho would even DARE make a comment about someone else… he’s one of the biggest dirt balls in sports media

  8. SAS has become very annoying, snake-like and untrustworthy. I don’t even watch First Take.

  9. The way Molly left so abruptly like peace deuces ✌🏾Im out. That speaks volumes

  10. Why people hating on Stephen A Smith?
He ain’t the boss of ESPN.
Molly is just host come the fuck down people.
Acho wanna be Stephen a Smith never will.

  11. Interrupting was her job, she was there for 10 years working for one of the biggest if not the biggest sports networks worldwide. Again I say interrupting was her job dude, plus she kept Que’s from producers in her ear…..,Do your homework Playa!!!!

  12. I guess they’re going to promote that cue ball 6inch fake nails black chick to take over first take. book it!

  13. ESPN’s 20-million-dollar offer was insulting so she quit and now makes nothing, real smart.

  14. Imagine you’re at a job you start said job really good everything is cool. Schedule, pay, people, everything. Stuff all of a sudden changes they want you to work harder with no extra pay….. Molly i get it. My job is the same way she was there for a long time they literally did not care about her worth.

  15. This show’s been terrible for a long time. Molly to me was the only thing saving this show.

  16. She got paid to say “guys we have to move on to the next topic” 😂. I’d gladly take 500,000 for that.

  17. I knew this was coming after she chose her job over her husband 😭 wouldn’t be surprised if she got somebody she plan on suing already in mind

  18. They can just replace her with a younger version of herself for a tenth of what she was probably asking for. I don’t blame ESPN and I don’t blame her for leaving

  19. 😮I aint gone lie she only was worth 250k. She didnt add any value, she actually was the reason I didnt watch…..then the second reason was Stephen A……..frfr BUT a cohost should have made at least 3 mil

  20. Molly is worth more and deserved her own show. People just hate that a woman can stand her own two feet! She is well educated, talented and a true professional!! People just hate that this wouldn’t let anyone push her around and treat her like dirt. She should have gotten millions because she is the one that held that show together. She was the show for a decade and people hate it .

  21. Y’all don’t remember Stephen A. girlfriend went off on Molly on social media?

  22. They say she was making 500,000.00 a year,Steven A didn’t stand up for molly making more money. Steven A has alot of clout at ESPN he is executive producer at ESPN for his show,he could have said she deserves to get paid like himself she was his number two on his show also she was with him for 10yrs. Steven A is all about himself and no one else he is too egotistical and think he is all that and got to big headed.

  23. “The details, quite frankly, are none of y’all’ business” meanwhile Stephen A. talks about everyone’s business lol

  24. She won’t be missed. She added no value. That show went on fine with out her.

  25. Molly is brilliant, but I never liked her, she was sooooo annoying, interruptive, and fake. I’m really surprised they worked together for that long, the way she would stare at Stephen A and her body language and gestures all showed she didn’t like nor respect him, almost like she was envious of his power and influence. If Molly wasn’t beautiful, no way she would have had that role for that long. Cari Champion was way better.

  26. To quote Nino Brown…”Never liked you anyway, pretty Muthafucka….” 😂

  27. Them folks that pay Stephen A Smith deal with Satan, straight up and they’re connected to other devils

  28. I love how all these clowns 🤡 keep saying how these women on all sports talk show are integral as moderators…. Lmao . They are just eye candy for an overwhelmingly male audience pure and simple.

  29. If Stephen A left, the show would be done. Molly leaving is just a hiccup. She shouldn’t have let her ego get in the way in contract negotiation ,she was making 500,000 a year… Do you know how many young cute women (or young guy) would die for that job like that, regardless of the money. They could easily get a number of qualified candidates probably for 150 grand a year. Again, she should not have let her ego get in the way if she wasn’t happy she should have stayed at the job accepted the pay that she had and looked for another roll at some other network like maybe Fox Sports or something but I guarantee you no one is going to pay her 500 grand a year Even if she gets another job in the industry most employers are going to look at her as someone they don’t want to deal with because They’ll assume what if she does this to us because it’s not really a great look For Disney/ESPN. It’s not the type of publicity that they want where people dig and find out how much Stephen A is, So I guarantee any company in the same industry will be not looking at her one bit and she’ll regret leaving a 500K job a year basically for just talking.

In general it’s not a good idea to compare your salary to someone else’s unless you guys are doing the same work and you feel like you have significantly more talent OR influence. I think this is more about ego and her saying to herself look we both put in the same hours and I have an important role on the show and he’s making a hundred and something million and I’m only getting 500,000 that’s not fair And you know what, maybe it isn’t but that’s business.

  30. Molly aint shit 💩 without Stephen A Smith.

  31. She got paid to be a pretty face and a big set of tits. Mina Kimes is a star. Molly Quirem is the chick you kinda want to fuck until she opens her mouth and you gotta listen to that squeaky whine. I’m frankly shocked she’s had a job as long as she has…she’s god awful. Good riddance

  32. She shouldn’t of let Stephen a sleep with her thinking she was gonna get paid
