Brandon disseminated several Instagram videos to voice his frustration with general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan for keeping him under contract. The 28-year-old receiver called ’em “dumb” and “stupid” for paying him $50 million. He called ’em “little-ass boys.” He also said they harbor trepidation of lettin’ him go because he’ll thrive for another team. “You want to know why they really mad, though?” Aiyuk told his followers. “They mad ’cause they stupid. They dumb. They mad that they paid me $50 million in eight months and then voided my guarantees for 2027. And I’m about to be on a new team in 2027.”

But, at this point, it doesn’t really matter.
Brandon later shared a video of himself practically begging the Washington Commanders to trade for him. He was college teammates with quarterback Jayden Daniels when they set all kinds of records at Arizona State. “Before I lay down and go to bed tonight, I just want to say, “Go Commanders! Go Commanders! Go Commanders!” Brandon cheered. “Raise Hail! Take Command!”
Social media reaction was wild.

Lynch told reporters it’s “safe to say that [Brandon] has played his last snap with the Niners.”
