BRISTOL — “🎵I want your love and I want your revenge. You and me could write a bad romance.🎵” First, Joy Taylor received a pink slip from Fox Sports. Now this. Molly Qerim — the prepossessing brunette and co-host of “First Take,” best known for interrupting when mothaf*ckas are talking — quit ESPN on Monday without giving a 2-week notice. Yessir. Babygirl walked away after 10 years of working alongside Stephen A. Smith, who she was f*cking on the side. Molly disseminated her resignation via Instagram. “After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this incredible chapter and step away from First Take,” she wrote. “Hosting this show has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Every morning, I had the privilege of sharing the desk with some of the most brilliant, passionate, and entertaining voices in sports — and with all of you, the best fans in the world.”

“I’m so grateful for what this journey has given me,” Molly continued.

“Lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and the chance to be part of something truly special. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for welcoming me into your homes.”

Stephen A. said Molly’s resignation “came as a shock,” even though she failed to work out a contract extension with ESPN. The 57-year-old sportscaster expressed disappointment on his self-titled podcast. “To say that I’m quite sad about it is an understatement,” Stephen A. bemoaned. “Molly is a friend. Molly is a co-worker. Molly is somebody that I’ve leaned on many occasions in the past.”

“We’ve been partners on the show for the last 10 years,” Stephen A. continued.

The details, quite frankly, are none of y’all’ business. It’s not as if I know all the details. It was a contract negotiation that was going on. ESPN certainly did not want to lose her. But, in the end, she made her decision to walk away from the show effective immediately.”

Emmanuel Acho, recently fired from Fox Sports, excoriated Stephen A. for not being transparent. “Don’t tell us the details, then tell us you’re not gonna tell us the details,” Acho said on Tuesday’s edition of Speakeasy. “He said she abruptly resigned. That’s a detail! And then you’re gonna say, ‘But don’t ask me the details, cause I’m not gonna tell you all the details, that’s none of y’all business…’”

Stephen A. is earning roughly $40 million a year.

Molly, who’s making $500,000 annually, wants something homogeneous.

  1. I really miss Molly. I actually quit watching the show and now I watch The Herd with Collin Cowhard on FS1.

  2. She was being passed around and they had no respect for her behind the scenes.

  3. Can we all just agree that no one cares and that honestly, the show was more annoying with her on.

  4. There’s an Old School Song. That was sung by the O’JAYS called “BACK STABER” they smiling in your face. LOOK AT “SAS”🤔
