Inside the Industry released the explosive documentary of “Right Thurr” rapper Chingy (né Howard Bailey Jr.) who lost a multi-million dollar record deal because scuttlebutt has it, he copulated with transgender model Sidney Starr. See, all hell broke loose when Chingy took a few innocent photos with Sidney that somehow made it to the tabloids. “I asked him for a picture,” Sidney said during a recent interview. “I took the picture… I thought she was a fan,” Chingy agreed. “She seemed pretty cool… Two years after that, I see… some crap about a trans person was in a relationship with me.” To compound matters, Sidney lied and said he gave Chingy some bussy. “So you’re saying that you had sex with Chingy?” the interviewer asked. “Yes,” Sidney replied. Next thing you know, Chingy was blackballed and canceled.
“I lost a record deal because that was so huge on the internet,” he bemoaned.
Sidney apologized for telling a fib. He was merely chasing clout. But the damage was done. Chingy’s once promising rap métier was flushed down the toilet. “The person apologized,” said the 44-year-old lyricist. “But, by that time, the sabotaging was already in place. It goes to show you that [Sidney] who nobody knew had that much power to come out and say one negative thing about me. And a whole mass of people just instantly took to it. And they didn’t have not one piece of evidence. I lost a deal cause of that. It was sad to me because it was so much bad publicity around it.”
Social media reaction was venomous.
