CINCY — “🎵I was gonna go to court before I got high 🚬 (ooh-ooh-ooh)…🎵” Afroman (né Joseph Foreman) made headlines after he came out victorious in his civil defamation lawsuit with Adams County sheriff’s deputies. If you recall, the 51-year-old rapper found weed-puffin’ success with his 2001 hit song “Because I Got High🌿.” We ain’t heard sh*t from that n*gga since. As for the lawsuit? All hell broke loose when officers obtained a warrant and raided Afroman’s home in Cincinnati, Ohio in August 2022 amid allegations of drug trafficking and kidnapping. They found zero evidence of either, but the probe resulted in serious destruction of Afroman’s property and one of the cops stole $400. Rather than let bygones be bygones, a pissed-off Afroman released a chronicled diss album mocking the deputies. He even addressed some of ’em by name.

In his song “Randy Walters Is A Son Of A Bitch,” Afroman unloaded on Deputy Walters, saying, “I f*cked his wife!” In his other track “Lemon Pound Cake,” Afroman said, “The Adams County Sheriff kicked down my door. Then I heard the glass break. They found no kidnapping victims. Just some lemon pound cake.” Then, to add kerosene to the blazing inferno🔥, Afroman used home security camera footage of the raid in his music videos.

Deputies sought reprisal by suing his black ass for $4 million in damages.

The 3-day trial — which began on March 16, 2026 — has since reached its cessation.

Jurors ruled in favor of Afroman after his attorney gave ’em a spill about free speech and First Amendment rights.

“In all circumstances, the jury finds in favor of the defendant; no plaintiff verdict prevailed,” said Judge Jonathan Hein.

Even though he won, a lachrymose Afroman was ordered to pay 50 percent of court costs.

He talked sh*t to reporters afterwards.

“I didn’t win, America won,” Afroman said.

“America still has freedom of speech.”

Donning an American flag suit, Afroman told court members a mendacious 304 informant lied and told police he had several keys of cocaine and a dungeon of popsies held captive in the basement.

A squad of rifle-wielding deputies busting his door down moments later.

Afroman wasn’t there, but his wife and two children were.

Fortunately, they weren’t harmed.

Do you agree with the verdict?

  1. @Larry: Know way I would be laughing if this was my house! He needs to take this more seriously and sue everyone of them for destroying his property.

  2. He wears the American flag as a cloak? A country that disrespects us over and over? 😮

  3. THANK GOD he was NOT home when the PD kicked in his door…that’s all

  4. The lawsuit introduced people to this whole situation, who didn’t even know what was going on. I would not have known about this incident if there had never been a trial. Now I’m going to be sending someone some pound cake. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  5. They broke in his house on some bullshit trumped up charges . Went through all his shit even coats etc he had hanging in his closet. Stole his money etc and have the nerve to sue him ? Smfh

  6. He hit a female that was on stage with him years ago. Just because she got on stage. Didn’t rush him or attack him.Just cuz she got onstage doesn’t give him the right to hit a female for that. If she was attacking him yes. People shouldn’t forget this.

  7. Crazy how they have made him even more popular then he already was before suing him😂😂😂😂😂

  8. This guy is a whole clown. Acting like he cares about free speech while begging Trump to get on stage with him and supporting him as Trump steps all over our free speech. I honestly don’t feel sorry for him as he has no compassion for what Trump is putting Americans through the same ish he’s crying about happening to him.

  9. He must be very cautious of these deputies, as they might attempt to seek revenge

  10. This dude’s got pussy on lockdown. He can get any of them skirts with ease.

  11. Without the idiocy and corruption of our current crop of law enforcement we would never have Afroman’s Lemon Pound Cake. It tastes so nice, indeed!!

  12. This only solidifies the public’s negative opinion of law enforcement. This raid was conducted based on bad Intel from a questionable source and the only reason they got a warrant was because the target of the raid was a black man.

  13. The judge needs to be investigated, he is making Afroman pay the legal fees of the cops.

  14. It was a jury verdict. The judge had to side with them.
What is BS is the fucking racist judge forcing Afroman, who won, to pay for half the costs.
They truly hate his success, that came at their expense, after creating the situation in the first place.
