ATLANTA — Damn, nice guys really do finish last. A viral video shows R&B songstress Ari Lennox admitting she regrets rebuffing nice guys to get dicked down by Pookie & Ray Ray. The 34-year-old “Pressure” singer let the cat 😺 out the bag during a recent radio interview. “I think I have a thing for toxic energy,” Ari said. “I think there’s some more healing that I need to do because when I look back on all of these energies, it’s a shame I gave [Pookie & Ray Ray] so much time and there were [nice guys] that I didn’t. So, now I see those sweet energies getting married and starting families and I’m like, ‘Dang, that could’ve been me,’ if I recognized the security in those individuals at the time. I’m definitely feeling that now. I’m aware that something’s wrong.” When asked to elucidate what attracts her to toxic energy, Ari said nice guys treat her well but they’re boring as hell.
“I think [Pookie & Ray Ray] seem really exciting at first,” she explained.
“The chemistry is incredible and they don’t even always be fine and it’s not even like they’re sexy… They don’t be the finest things I’ve ever seen. It’s just an energy. Sometimes it’s convenience… A lot of those [nice guys] I felt like weren’t for me. I can see myself falling asleep a little bit on the phone. I’m trying to figure out if… boring is good or not. Like, I’m trying to figure out what that means.”
Then, in another interview with Lex P, Ari said:
I thought it was everything to have a house, to just be taking care of myself and all of these things, all of these ambitious goals of mine that I’ve been able to achieve. I thought that would be attractive. And, in meeting men and dating a lot of successful men, none of them would ever talk about how exciting it is that I have invested in properties or would ever even want to come to see my house at all. It was very much so, ‘No, just come over here or, you know, it felt like all my accomplishments were minimized. And so I realized I don’t know what I was thinking growing up thinking that me being accomplished and independent would attract other successful men… and realizing, ‘Wow, I think it deters them.'”

Again idc what anyone says this is only a black woman issue. No other race has the majority of their women like this. Data shows black women have the lowest marriage rate at 27% the next lowest is white women at 54% 😐. Whatever yall wanna say it’s only black women who are like this in mass in the US. The most single group of women and yet the poorest group of women at the same time along with being some of the highest percentages of single mothers with 67-72% of black children being raised in single mother households.
