HOLLYWOOD — Spill Today released the documentary of “Parkers” actress Countess Vaughn who was chewed up and spit out by Hollywood executives because… her booty wasn’t big enough. Yep, Countess’ flat ass didn’t fit the industry’s typical body standard for black women. And, to compound matters, her co-star — Jenna von Oÿ — had a much bigger ass and she’s white. Feeling mortified, Countess had multiple silicone injections. But, they weren’t enough. Jenna had her beat. “They used to clown me on the show,” Countess recalled. “They’d be like you’re a black girl and Jenna von Oÿ’s butt is bigger than yours and she’s a white girl. And that used to bother the heck out of me. That used to be the joke all the time.” Cast members labeled Jenna “white chocolate” due to her Coke bottle frame and voluptuous derrière. Countess’ confidence took a big hit.
“Because I’m a black girl and I’m supposed to have a big butt,” she bemoaned.
“You know, you fall into these stereotypes. You feel like, ‘I’m supposed to have this.’ And then you’d see all the attention she would get for having it. They would lose their minds. I’m like ass is everything.”
Countess, 45, claims she was coerced into picking up weight. She doubled her calorie intake. Manducated a bunch of Big Macs and sh*t. But none of it went to her ass. Countess was subsequently fat-shamed. “And I get mad at myself because I was a lot smaller on ‘Moesha,'” she said. “And they made me the fat kid. The jokes. Even the first episode the line was, ‘Oh it’s baby fat,’ and what’s-her-name goes, ‘No, it’s fat baby.'”
Countess said she hit rock-bottom when she got an abortion to eschew gettin’ fired.
She even kept it a secret to prevent her show from being canceled.
“I had an unwanted pregnancy,” Countess admitted.
“I had just started my TV show. I knew that in Black Hollywood a girl having a baby, they’d get rid of you. I had to do something about it. I had to make a decision to get rid of a child for my career.”
Keeping her show on the air was imperative because Countess burned a bunch of bridges. While co-starring on “Moesha,” Countess clashed with R&B protagonist Brandy Norwood — after fans gave her the big head, saying she’s the reason the show was so successful. “I think she’s very funny, very talented,” Brandy told Vibe Magazine. “I just feel like she wants to be in the position I’m in. People tell her, ‘You’re the reason why the show’s successful.’ And she’s told me that before. And she’s called me a bitch to my face.”
Even though she aborted her first baby, Countess eventually gave parturition to a pair of neonates. But one of her baby daddies, David Benjamin Richard Whitten, was batshit à la Pookie & Ray Ray. Countess got a restraining order in 2018 after David threw bleach in her face to prevent her from working as an actress. The jealous simp also beat her ass and tried to strangle her. The judge ordered David to stay at least 100 yards away.

I think countess is a great actress and singer! She also seems like a cool person. I just think she is the opposite of what hollywood wants looks-wise (unfortunately)… shes not ugly, but her weight and height was an issue. Jenna probly wasnt a big success because of her height as well. Hollywood is very superficial, talent is second, looks are first..❤
I loved both shows equally. I’ve always loved Brandy and then when Countess came on the scene I loved her too. She was funny and I loved her singing. Still love them both to this day and wished Countess was on some stuff being her funny self. Production and adults really tainted those girls.

moesha show was too ghetto I am black and still cannot watch how the characters act…moeshas show also had a political agenda to hate whites…the parkers were funny and acted with more class in a comical way
My buddy was an actor on Moesha. He told me a personal story of when they were filming 🎥 one day. He said that Brandy and Countess had been having issues between each other, but not seeing it was going to escalate into a physical fight. He said they were taping and the fireworks 🎇 kicked off. Words were exchanged and an all out brawl occurred. The staff had to come in between them and separate them it was so bad. Crazy 💯
O, such a tired story. People who hit the jackpot (i.e., got lucky with the opportunity of a lifetime) and self-sabotage because they get distracted with internal quibbling and lose sight of the bigger picture. They had a good cast that connected with a faithful audience. Too bad they had to jack it all up due to fragile egos. Not for nothing, but I thought one member of the cast who was cruelly under-rated was Shar Jackson. That young lady was funny.
Brandy & Countess Was Teenagers Grown People And Fans Made This Feud Worst Than It Really Was For Example Brandy & Monica So Called Fued Which Was Made Up By Fans & Again Grown People But I Like Moesha I Think Countess Shines More On The Show Brandy Was Liked But I Think People Click Better With Countess & I Became More Of A Fan Of The Parker’s

Countess and Brandy are two exceptional talents but the circles they run in are the difference makers. Brandy team makes sure that she finishes every project, Countess team makes her quit while she’s burning up because they interfere with everything she does including threatening her life, you tell me now how a teenage spat stops the rise after you read that. Obviously Countess should be one of the goats by now but her team and spouses derailed her momentum for too long that she’s missed more than one shot to become goat status but damn if I don’t love her when she’s on anything.
women this is why you must date UP. Men who earn less, have less, don’t share the same ambitions just do NOT know how to deal with a woman who has more. There’s always domestic violence in these situations. She shouldn’t have low self esteem, she’s cute as hell. men always try their hardest (‘professional’ men at your job, brothes/cousins/uncles/fathers, partners, random men in the street) to LOWER our self esteem. They cannot STAND us feeling good about ourselves. They are jealous and power hungry as hell. She is very cute and could easily snap up a much wealthier and much more giving and loving man. I bet that the lower self esteem that came from the disgusting men on set made her go for that disgusting partner of hers. It was a downward spiral from there, I absolutely detest men sometimes. They’re nature’s tormentors. Better to be single, I think. Imagine how much happier she would have been solo. Only a society that heavily lowers your confidence and self esteem would have you thinking a man was better than you.
She needs to leave the ghetto and leave the country or start getting into rich circles.

Brandy as a child had absolutely NO say so on who worked on Moesha. Her mother was the reason Countess was fired. Brandy’s mother never wanted any other young black girl to be bigger than her daughter.
COUNTESS carried BOTH SHOWS ….. Parker’s and Moesha ( My opinion ) would be nice to see her career reignited she’s been though a LOT !
The show was called Moesha. Countess and Sheryl were so stupid to have issues with the star of the show. They should have talked to dark skinned Aunt Viv!!!!

Countess, definitely has the comedic talent on Moesha. I think she may have been a bit more relatable to teen girls at the time. Girls that weren’t straight A students, and didnt always get the guy. And girls that didn’t always turn heads, but were cute, and special in their own way. I remember watching Moesha, and thinking she always seemed to look down on her a bit. I always found myself rooting for Kim, Countess’ character. I can understand why Brandy, felt a bit upstaged with Countess on the show.

Countess is that girl for me. If you were considered a big girl in the 90s to the 2000s you were only 165 she was the one that was cute, so so talented , fashionable , and funny . She checked all my boxes.
