MINNEAPOLIS — “Inside the Industry” released the explosive chronicle of Prince’s ex-wife, Mayte Garcia, who dropped bombshells about their marriage in her memoir “The Most Beautiful: My Life With Prince.” The publication reveals intimate details about how she became Prince’s adopted daughter, the night he took her virginity, and why he tried to conceal their son’s death. Mayte was only 16 and living in Germany when her mother sent Prince, then 32, a video of her belly dancing. The “Purple Rain” star invited her backstage for one of his concerts, telling her, “I like your tape.” Mayte said Prince was standing outside his dressing room, shaking a maraca. Even though he wore eyeliner, heels and women’s perfume, Mayte felt Prince exuded virility. He was certainly nobody’s bitch. A year later, Prince adopted Mayte and cohabitation ensued at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota.
Yep, he became Mayte’s legal guardian (with her parents’ permission, of course).
Mayte would go on to dance professionally, and she became the star of Prince’s 1992 “Diamonds & Pearls Tour.” That same year, Mayte inspired Prince’s nameless (symbol) album. Then, three years later, Prince wrote the hit song “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” for Mayte. Love was definitely in the air. Wedding bells rung loud. Prince and Mayte got hitched on Valentine’s Day in 1996.
Eight months later, she gave accouchement to their son — Amiir Gregory Nelson (Amiir means Prince in Arabic).
But, when nurses held him up, all hell broke loose.
“The elation on my husband’s face turned to pure terror,” Mayte recalled.
“Why is he not crying?” Prince bemoaned.
Turns out, Amiir was born with Pfeiffer Syndrome Type 2 — which means he had a cloverleaf-shaped head due to extensive skull bone fusion. His hands and feet were webbed. He didn’t have an anus. And, his eyes — formed outside their sockets — were lidless.
The kid resembled an alien.
It was a damn nightmare.
“They brought the baby over to us,” Mayte recounted.
“He was curled on his side, gasping shallow little gulps of air. Because there were no lids to blink, his eyes looked startled and dry. I caught hold of his tiny hand, saying over and over, ‘Mama loves you, Mama’s here.’ After six days, he was struggling to breathe. And I said to the doctor, ‘He’s not leaving here, is he?’”
Sadly, the answer was “yes.”
Amiir died that same day.
Prince was devastated.
“I don’t think he ever got over it,” Mayte said.
“I don’t know how anybody can get over it. I know I haven’t.”
Prince determined he could never have a baby with Mayte.
She bled throughout the pregnancy, and her ultrasound images looked terrible.
So Prince divorced Mayte in 2000 and had every memory of her and Amiir burned.
It’s as if they never existed.
A depressed Mayte blamed herself before contemplating suicide.
But the affection of her dog, Mia, obstructed it.
Prince died in 2016 after overdosing on fake Vicodin laced with fentanyl.
He was 57.

Im sorry to say this but possibly Mate is lying.I met him back in 98″ New Years Eve in Las Vegas when i had long black hair.He had ordered one of his body guards to assist me to his private table.Where after a very weird brief conversation.He offered me a huge round pill that looked like a horse tranquilizer.I excused my self because it was very uncomfortable. One of the most crazy strangest encounters.But i will say he was eccentric.
I think it’s messed up that she started a dumb rumor in her book about how prince burned his son’s urn and belongings, yet how dafuck do you burn ashes?? Yet Mayte just did a live-streamed interview about how Amir’s urn/ashes are with her cuz a guy found it at the garage at paisley park!! Plus in her book she writes about stalking prince and being stuck on him and yet she plays the victim and gossips about prince doing her wrong? More like her parents did her more damaged than prince since she even writes about how her mother didn’t feed her for an entire week, just cuz Mayte got stage fright and didn’t danced with her mom and oh writing about how her mothers kitty cat was wet for prince, which is why she wanted to see prince live at the nude tour cuz she thought he was going to be naked and yet her own mother forces her to work for him and show him her dancing tapes️️️ even worst on the one show she’s on she complains about how she doesn’t have any purple rain money to support her daughter cuz she’s a single mother, but maybe was just a kid during purple rain and prince isn’t her adoptive daughter’s father and in her book she wrote that she didn’t wanted any $$$ after the divorce. As much as i love prince and he was a genius and wise person but damn he had some toxic ways at times when it came to the women in his life. He had so many muses sometimes the line between artist and girlfriends was kinda blurry. I’d say that was his kryptonite. And i feel like some of them were disposed of when he moved on to the next.

Prince was a raging narcissist who only selected women he could use as “props” for his inestimable out of control ego… once they realized this and no longer wanted to be his prop, he would discard of them like trash. He even burned up and discarded his sons ashes as he incinerated everything that Mayte left behind at the house including their sons ashes. She was horrified to learn of the beast he truly was. He got in good with women by offering them roles or the fake promise to be in movies or make an album with him. That was his claim and they would all sign right up for his faux promises. He did this to all the ladies he wanted to seduce including Dani Leigh. He’s really pretty disgusting. Shrouded by his incredible talents.

The same thing happened with the lead singer of Aerosmith. He became guardian of a 16 yr old girl that he was having sex with, got her pregnant and didn’t want the kid. A fire started when she was all alone sleeping that was suspicious. She only lived because she woke up and crawled into the fire place and rescuers got to her.

I have a daughter (age 33), and there’s no way I would’ve allowed any celebrity to become my teenage daughter’s legal guardian!
