New Heights: LeBron talks sports with Travis & Jason

LeBron joins New Heights.
Blog King, Mass Appeal
KANSAS CITY — His majesty LeBron James — a big fan of the NFL — joined Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and retired big brother Jason Kelce on Episode 123 of their popular “New Heights” podcast to confabulate love and basketball. King James, 40, and his son, 20-year-old Bronny James, became the first father-son duo in NBA history to play on the same team. Both are employees of the Los Angeles Lakers even though you can make a strong argument Bronny lacks the talent to compete in the NBA. Nepotism got him the job. “It’s the greatest thing you could ever, ever have, and to see him every day grinding and going through the process of trying to become who he wants to become while I am sitting there and just watching him,” LeBron said. “And doing the things that he wants to do and being able to just take it all in, it helps me get some of the minutes and hours and years back that I did not have with them because I was playing so much, on the road and doing my own things.”
King James also admitted he contemplated leaving the NBA for the NFL. If you recall, he was one of the nation’s best wide receivers coming out of high school and he was offered a full ride scholarship to play both football and basketball at Ohio State University. But LeBron skipped college and was drafted No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA Draft.
“We know you played football back in the day at St. Vincent-St. Mary. Has it ever actually crossed your mind what you could possibly do in the NFL?” Travis asked.
“Absolutely,” LeBron replied.
“The only time I’ve really taken it super duper serious, I think it was 2011 when we had the NBA lockout. And I didn’t know when we were going to make the deal with the owners and get our league back going. So I actually thought about it a little bit back then. I was still young enough to get out there with y’all, but that’s the only time I’ve actually seriously considered it.”
“I’ve had serious dreams about this sh*t all the time,” he added.
King James had a hilarious reaction to being put on blast about his Christmas Day proclamation on national television when he said, “I love the NFL. But Christmas is our day!”
He was wrong, of course.
The NFL Christmas Day doubleheader on Netflix averaged 27 million viewers apiece.
Conversely, the NBA averaged a measly 5 million viewers per contest.
So when Jason joked about who owns Christmas, LeBron went into comedic mode.
“I saw the f*ckin’ numbers after the fact. You guys kicked our ass, OK?” he retorted.
“From a viewership standpoint you all kicked our ass. The games weren’t all as great as they should have been. But when you have f*cking Beyonce out there…”
Queen Bey performed at halftime of the Houston Texans game.
Do you think LeBron could thrive in the NFL?
Should the Chiefs bring him in for a tryout?

You can see how big of a fan Travis Kelce is of LeBron. He did not stop smiling or giggling the entire show lol ❤
He’s not fast enough to play in the nfl. Those guys are his size but twice as fast.
God I fucking love LeBron
MY GOAT
Lebron is a bigger sell out than travis.. 🤮🤢🤮
Imagine calling a guy who plays basketball a “king”. Really embarrassing.
Never been the biggest Bron fan but u can’t not have respect for the guy. The way he lit up talking about his kids tells u everything u need to know about him.
My boy Travis is just happy to be there. HAHAHAHA!
I was 8 when LeBron was drafted I’m now 30 with a wife, 2 kids, 3 dogs and 2 cats. 😭😭😭
Always in shock when Americans bash Lebron James. He was the chosen one since he was 16 and lived up to all the hype/pressure. Continues to exude excellence while Michael Jordan was a degenerate gambler/alcoholic that burn bridges. The greatness doesn’t even compare. Long live the goat.
Brought to you by Pfizer and China.
I’ve never seen Lebron this relaxed in any interview. This is a great interview!!!
Corniest dudes in the NFL meet the corniest guy in the NBA
