I gave my gf the break up she asked for & she was pissed I didn’t chase after her or in her words “why didn’t you fight for me?” WTF everything these dating coaches teach, my ex wanted the opposite! When we were together, She would get upset so I would give her space. She would get pissed that I wouldn’t “try!” wtf!? god damnit! I lost her bc of all these tactics!
My ex dumped me for a younger guy.. I haven’t spoken to her for 5 years yet I have over a hundred messages of her cursing and blaming me still for the break up.. now she’s emailing me every month begging for me to “help”…. But now I have this new amazing woman in my life that makes feel like I’ve never felt before. My ex can tell I’m happy and I know she’s watching me on social media even though I won’t return her calls or messages. When my ex left me my life was over and I didn’t date or talk to any other women for about 3 years afterwards… My ex constantly showed off her new boo and bragged about how better he was than myself and how happier she is with him. Now that I’m happy I wish my ex will let me go.

It doesn’t bother me to see my exes or anybody doing well. Happiness is found within and it is not a zero sum game. Another human being happy or successful does not take anything away from me.
They are exes for a reason, and if it was going to work out, then it would have. When you spend all your time looking back at the past, you forget to live in the present, and there’s no way that you can see a future.
If they aren’t a part of your life anymore, then accept that it’s probably for the best and move on. Focus on the things that you can control, and remember that pain is temporary.
