KANSAS CITY — “🎵Ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none.🎵” Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes raised eyebrows Monday morning when he said he and his teammates need to “get back to having fun again.” The 3-time Super Bowl MVP appeared on FanDuel’s “Up & Adams Show” with Kay Adams to confabulate his partnership with State Farm, trash talk from opponents, being disrespected in rankings, family life and his legacy. You can tell Mahomes has been lifting weights because he’s buff as hell. “I’m honestly just ready to play football again,” Mahomes said when asked to address haters who talk a bunch of sh*t💩. “I’ve had to just sit back and listen to people talk and talk, and I’m like — let’s just play football and handle it all out there. I don’t really want to talk about it. I just want to go out there and show who we are as the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Mahomes admitted the team didn’t have much fun last year despite compiling an NFL best 15-2 record.

“I don’t want to say it was pressure, but last year, guys wanted to go out there and win every single week — not because it was fun, but because we were supposed to,” he explained.

Let’s go out there and have fun. The wins will come if we play the way we know we can play.”

You can definitely expect the Chiefs to have a lot of fun this season. That’s because Mahomes will have an elite collection of weapons at his disposal. Many believe it’s the deepest wide receiver group he’s ever had. “It’s going to be hard to make cuts. We have so many great receivers — we could be eight, nine deep with guys I could see making this roster,” Mahomes said.

“It’s going to come from everywhere. Obviously, you got Rashee [Rice] coming back — he looks great. You’ve got Xavier Worthy, who came on strong at the end of last year. You’ve got Hollywood Brown, he’s healthy again… guys everywhere. We have so many weapons.”

Mahomes and our Chiefs are seeking a fourth straight Super Bowl appearance and a fourth Lombardi Trophy 🏆 in 6 years.

It’s been one helluva dynasty.

  14. He is the best period! To be hated this much it only means they are jealous that their team don’t have him. Terrible wide receivers this year, mediocrity at wide receiver in years past and what does he do? HE JUST KEEPS WINNING!!!!! Over rated? NO! I don’t see those 15 quarterbacks doing anything but sitting on their couch watching him win game after game title after title! He’s a winner and when he has an off year guess what he’s back in the AFC championship once more!

    1st in PPG
    1st in RZ
    1st in 3rd down
    1st in YPG.
    Hopefully next season we get a mix of 2018 and 2022 Chiefs offense.

Never talks trash, respected and loved by everyone, never disrespects others, wins without cheating, married to his high school sweet heart, lifts others up, and no one wants to see this guy on the opposite side of the field.   39. Big Chiefs fan here, I gotta say, Pat needs to leave State Farm because of the way that they did everybody during these natural disasters, refusing to give them relief during the wildfires and hurricanes

  50. Mahomes is only competing against Brady. There isnt another qb in the game that he competes with.
