Shaunie claimed she never loved Shaq in her new book

HOUSTON — Shaunie Henderson, ex-wife of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, raised eyebrows on Tuesday when she admitted she never loved her ex-husband. She basically called Shaq a simp. Shaunie, creator of VH1’s “Basketball Wives” reality series, divorced Shaq in 2011 for cheating. Then, she was awarded $20 million in a dissolution settlement coupled with child support. Fans called her a gold digger. Turns out, they were right. Shaunie dissed Shaq, 52, in her new memoir “Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms.” The publication was released on May 7th. “Looking back, I don’t know that I was ever really in love with the man, but I was in love with the idea of being married to the man I had a family with,” Shaunie wrote. “I was in love with the idea of building a life together. I truly did enjoy spending time with him. [NBA] road trips gave me a chance to be with my husband and experience the NBA life for a little while.” Ouch! Shaunie said Shaq was a damn good father to their four children.
But she also knew he garnered mucho attention from hordes of beddable women.
Scuttlebutt has it, scantily clad popsies waited outside Shaq’s hotel room after games.
They were ready to give up the vulva.
“He was trying to be a world-famous, thirty-something multimillionaire with thousands of women throwing themselves at him, and people in general begging just to be in his presence, while being a husband and a father at the same time,” Shaunie wrote. “How could anyone possibly know how to do that?” After he found out what Shaunie wrote, Shaq replied, “I understand. I wouldn’t have been in love with me either.”
Shaunie, 49, married Pastor Keion Henderson, 43, in 2022. Even though he’s 6 years younger, they appear to be happy. Social media reaction was cold-blooded. One commenter wrote, “Quick question: Would we give one f*ck about Shaunie if she was never married to Shaquille O’Neal? That’s it. I’m done.” Another chimed in with, “Girl bye! You could have kept that to yourself.”
A third person added, “I don’t believe it. Having that many kids by Shaq and don’t love him? I don’t believe it.”
What’s my take?
Shaunie has lost her damn mind.
The reason she’s the creator of “Basketball Wives” is because she was married to a basketball player — Shaq.
The reason she possesses generational wealth is because of Shaq.
The only reason people will read her stupid book is because she wrote about Shaq.
Had she written strictly about Keion, nobody would buy it.
Let’s face it.
Shaunie is married to a boring pastor and, once again, she’s using Shaq’s celebrity for excitement and attention.
Right now, Shaq is bangin’ chicks who are much sexier than Shaunie.
Not to mention their youngest child just turned 18 which means no more child support.
By releasing the memoir, Shaunie is trying to cash in on Shaq’s name one more time.
It’s called gold digging.

Shaq’s last child hit 18. No more money
Not everything needs to be spoken out loud, for the public’s consumption. I get that we’re in this trend of “everyone living their truth” but saying she doesn’t think she ever loved Shaq isn’t for the public’s ears, especially since they have kids together. What did she gain by that?
She wouldn’t be an entrepreneur if it wasn’t for Shaq. She got in the door because he opened it. Fellas don’t get married.
Does Shaunie discuss cheating on her first husband with Shaq? Having 3 kids before they got married? Now she wants to inform the world that she was never really in love with him. Her book conveniently comes out when she is about to get her last child support check. The baby girl is 18 and graduating. Her last Oneal money grab is a book. The grift continues. He handled it with class!

When you have his money at such a young age, knowing most are around because of it, maybe he never believed she loved him either… based on her superficial,mean girl behavior over the years, he dodged a bullet. How you get him is how you loose him.

Everybody loves shaq. How can you not? She thought she was doing something smart, but all she did was expose herself, and embarrassed her family. Been rockin with shaq since LSU.
