NEW YORK — First, Aunt Jemima was featured on the pancake box. Now this. British sculptor Thomas J. Price is catching hell after he erected an effigy of a 12-foot, bronze, stereotypically angry, corpulent, masculine black woman. The statue was unveiled in New York’s Times Square on April 29, 2025 for the entire world to see. The plus-size sculpture is donning casual apparel, standing with hands on hips while gazing off into the distance with a ruminative stare. A high-calorie woman who claims the sculpture was crafted in her image released a TikTok video expressing approbation. But she doesn’t like that the statue is wearing jeans and a t-shirt because it gives an “I’m just running to the store to grab some toothpaste” kinda vibe. Instead, babygirl wants something feminine and seductive. “Hey, it’s me, the statue,” she told her followers before modeling some sexier clothes.
Although I do really appreciate ya’ll putting me in the middle of Times Square, ya’ll could have did me a better look. I’ma need ya’ll to do a little switcheroo.”
Social media reaction was wild. One commenter wrote, “I hate your statue as it’s not an accurate representation of Black American Women. We come in all shapes and sizes and you have her plainly dressed looking angry. You’re British and know nothing of Black women. You should be ashamed of yourself.” Another chimed in with, “Damn. They might as well add a bonnet on your head.”
A third person added, “This is some leftist nonsense just to piss off white people… and based on the comments, blacks don’t like it either.”
Keep in mind, Price is black.
But he ain’t the only negro making DEI statues.
New York artist Kehinde Wiley made a 29-foot, bronze, sculpture of a black man wearing a sweatshirt and Nike sneakers.
What’s my take?
The United States and other western countries are promulgating interracial copulation between black men and white women.
It’s in television commercials, sports and entertainment.
The stratagem entails eliminating white men and black women.
But, for it to work, the latter must be showcased as being unattractive to black men.
That’s why there’s so much marketing geared towards black women wearing hair weaves and fake nails versus donning their natural, God-given look.
Mulattos like Patrick Mahomes are the new “black.”
Better get used to it.

first off: the statue was created by a man. if you look at his other work you can tell; he just doesn’t see BP productively. The statue is an honest depiction. The point is art is not picture. Art is supposed to uplift. Everybody has a camera on their phone. We can all take pictures of people. Art should be something that inspires. You can go to Starbucks and see some woman cussing out a barista that looks like that. People need to stop trying to help black women. @Gary: How do we know she’s single? No other single standing statue is assumed to be single. That’s the judgement you bring to the statue. Ancient Roman and Greek statues were put in the same poses. It’s called contrapposto and it’s considered elegant. When Reuben was making statues of plus-sized women it was considered romantic because they were white. The statue isn’t the problem. People’s attitudes toward black women are the problem.
