PARIS — Newly-crowned French Open champion Coco Gauff, the first black chick to win the title in a decade, pissed off a legion of white folks on Saturday when she said her victory in Paris was for “Americans that look like me.” In other words… black people. The 21-year-old wunderkind beat the sh*t 💩 out of No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka (6-7, 6-2, 6-4) in a thrilling three-set final to become the first negro to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015. Aryna, on the other hand, was a sore loser. The Belarusian refused to give Coco credit, claiming she “won the match not because she played incredible” but because “I made all of those mistakes.” Ain’t that a bitch? Coco was quick to pay homage to all things melanated. “It means a lot and obviously. There’s a lot going on in our country right now,” said the two-time Grand Slam champion, referring to the political turmoil that’s taken place since President Donald Trump took office.

But just to be able to be a representation of that and a representation of, I guess, people that look like me in America who maybe don’t feel as supported during this time period, and so just being that reflection of hope and light for those people.”

Trump, who’s serving his second term, has cut off funding to a myriad of DEI programs in addition to revoking the landmark 1965 executive order mandating equal employment opportunities for all Americans. That means employers can shun applicants of color without consequence. Trump has also made massive budget cuts to food stamps, Medicaid and Section 8 Housing.

The man has gone cuckoo 🤪 for Cocoa Puffs.

“I remember after the election and everything, it kind of felt like a down period a little bit and my mom told me…, ‘Just try to win the tournament, just to give something for people to smile for,'” Coco explained.

So that’s what I was thinking about today when holding that (trophy). Then seeing the flags in the crowd means a lot. You know, some people may feel some type of way about being patriotic and things like that, but I’m definitely patriotic and proud to be American, and I’m proud to represent the Americans that look like me and people who kind of support the things that I support.”

What’s my take?

I don’t have a problem with Coco’s comments.

She said she’s “proud to be American.”

She’s simply representing the black community in the same manner that Trump is advocating for his people.

We should expect nothin’ less in the Divided States of America.

Anyway, are you ok with Coco showing black people love?

Do you agree with Trump’s politics?

  1. Black fatigue!!! Ban her from any future American backed tennis events and make her pay her own way home!

  2. Celebrities, athletes should stay away from politics … I approved President Trump for deporting illegals from sanctuary states… They came to this country illegally don’t expect legal deportation process. Democrats are bunch of morons they should be deported or get out of this country

  3. “won the match not because she played incredible” but because “I made all of those mistakes”

This is white elitism in action, and the white brainwashed education that the black person must always be second. Aryna Sabalenka said herself, that this hurts losing to her. Black success will always either be whitewashed, stolen or destroyed. We should be planning for the future post white people.

  4. @Free Citizen: She is just a little innocent girl give her benefit of doubt, I don’t think she new what she was saying due to her excitement after all let’s not exaggerate the issue 😮 after all she is American 😂😂

  5. Such a low life! She probably think that winning Paris gave her political credibility. What an idiot

  6. Coco, we’ve loved you ever since you started at age 16. We are die hard tennis players and tennis watchers. Please keep your personal opinions to yourself when representing the U.S. You know what a white person would be labeled if they made a comment like that.

  7. I am sick of that phrase ” people that look like me ” …what ? Two arms two legs one head ….or are you aravist who wants to say BLACK.? IF a white person said looks like me …there would be an uproar cry of racism.

  8. What is wrong with that, she’s representing who looks like her, who’s trump representing

  9. Coco Gauff is great, and she can say whatever she wants; don’t forget she is still young. Y’all forgot that Donald Trump is racist. I have a big admiration for Coco Gauff. America has always been divided about race.

  10. Good tennis player but young and immature, she will realize one day we have to stop taking about race we are all human.

  11. Well that is two black American women that has let down our country. Simone Biles and now Coco 😔

  12. The white gurl is a white boy.. look at that adams apple and that 5 o’clock shadow!

  13. Coco saying she did it for American people who looks like her but there are far more people in the stands who doesn’t look like her cheering for her. People need to watch what they say. Stop bring race and politics into everything

  14. Let’s just say it. Black people are just physically superior and able to manage hardship and adversity. Let’s just go ahead and say it. Just look at worldwide sports. DOMINANT!!!!

  15. Sabalenka is and has ALWAYS been a sore looser since she started winning Slams. That’s why nobody likes her ass in the tour. I used to like her, more she’s getting on my nerves.

  16. Coco spanked that dude fair and square, looking like a thick neck Caitlyn Jenner

  17. Funny how every time Coco wins, it’s never because she played better — it’s always because “the opponent didn’t play well.” 🤔
If Aryna keeps playing badly only when she faces Coco, maybe Coco has something to do with that?
That’s called pressure, mental toughness, and superior match play.
Give credit where it’s due. 🏆🎾🔥

  18. Aryna looks like a “f” ing man who got beat by a beautiful melanated sister 😂😂

  19. That’s how she feels straight up. If the first amendment says you have the right to free speech plain and simple, that’s America .

  20. i have been following tennis, mens and womens, since the 70’s. coco has had the same dark energy that surrounded serena, right from the get-go. she has always come off as someone with a chip on her shoulder, playing angry. that she made a statement like this is appalling, but i am not surprised, based on what i have seen from her. now, the world gets to, as well. it ain’t fatigue, it’s exhaustion. victim victim victim, even when they are at the top of the world.

  21. A Black American, with over $35million dollars💰 in the bank.

She should be happy and content but…

  22. Racism will never go away especially in this country and especially when a Black American kicks White booty.

  23. Coco’s comment to me says she is proud to represent those who look like her because so many see being black as a negative.

  24. Dude black people been saying they represent people that look like them from the first day people that look like her was first allowed to play professional tennis, play in the Olympics and play in the French Open from being forbidden only because they were black. The reason they let black people play sports today is because they want to win and make money off of them.

  25. I’m white American MAGA, but I don’t mind Coco’s comments. Athletes are in a tough spot. Actually, I think Naomi Osaka got too much into politics with LeBron and she obviously lost her focus on tennis.

  26. I was rooting for her that she can become a great America tennis player, but man is she full of the feminism lie and the lie of oppression. This is pure feminist nonsense of hating America while prospering because of America! This crap make all of us in black America look bad. We have it good here!

  27. She is telling the truth. She has talent, what about black Americans that is not talented that is suffering presently.
