SOUTH BEND — The adventures of Pookiesha & Ray Ray continue. Kimarie Wright, 28, was thrown in the slammer after she smoked 32-year-old Kaylynn Davidson over a social media beef. The deadly shooting transpired on May 17, 2022 at the Linden Grill in South Bend, Indiana. Kaylynn was killed just five days after she buried her 5-year-old son, Kyler, who was accidentally shot and killed by his 9-year-old cousin a month prior. According to reports, Kaylynn and Kimarie were involved in a nasty Facebook feud that had something to do with Kyler’s quietus. So when Kaylynn saw Kimarie at the aforementioned downtown restaurant, she walked up to her and punched her in the jaw. A bout of fisticuffs ensued. Moments later, Kimarie pulled out a handgun — causing Kaylynn and others involved in the melee to egress the building. Kimarie followed ’em to the exit and opened fire — striking Kaylynn multiple times. The single mom of one was transported to the hospital where she later died.
Kimarie was arrested, charged and convicted of voluntary manslaughter.
She was sentenced to 10 years in the penitentiary.
Social media reaction was vicious. One commenter wrote, “Sometimes social media is the darn devil😢. SMH. It’s a damn shame that grown people are fussing on the Internet. Just sad to see people dying because of words.” Another chimed in with, “This is why I keep my personal life private and off the internet.” A third person added, “Just pure ignorance and negativity. Who leaves a loaded gun around in this day and age?”
