GAFFNEY — “🎵The wheels on the bus go round and round.🎵” School is back in session and that means parents have to worry about their kids gettin’ bullied. Family and friends are in mourning after 17-year-old Jomiltron “June Bug” Fair Jr. was Ctrl-Alt-Deleted while boarding the school bus. The fatality transpired around 6:50 a.m. on August 12, 2026 at the bus stop across the street from June Bug’s apartment in Gaffney, South Carolina. According to reports, June Bug — an honor roll student at Gaffney High School — was about to get on the bus 🚌 when three YNs pulled up in a van and confronted him. A bout of fisticuffs ensued and June Bug whooped all three of their asses. Feelin’ mortified, one of the thugs shot June Bug in the back of the head as he was retrieving his backpack. First responders performed CPR, but it was to no avail. June Bug was gone.
The three malefactors absconded like bitches. But, following a lengthy manhunt, 18-year-old Keveon Covington and 17-year-old Reginald Barnes Jr. were arrested and charged with murder and firearm possession. A 16-year-old boy was also busted, but police won’t release his identity because he’s too young. During interrogation, Reggie claimed he was merely the getaway driver.
Keveon is the one who pulled the trigger.
June Bug’s grandmother, Tangie Roseboro, is pissed.
“All he was trying to do was make it to Gaffney High School,” Tangie told reporters.
This was premeditated because they had been bothering my grandson for a while, even at school, and nothing was ever done. And it takes something like this to get… the police department involved, to show that this is real. My grandson lost his life, which I feel could have been prevented had something happened sooner.”
Social media reaction was venomous.
One commenter wrote, “Nothing was done, including taking him out of that school. The family neglected that child’s well-being. Who the f*ck waits for the school to handle their kid being bullied for a while? Man, HELL-NAW!”
Another person added, “Throw their little bad asses under the jail. If they didn’t kill this young man best believe it was going to be someone else’s child. Who in the hell is walking/driving around with a gun wanting to shoot someone early in the morning? We’re still trying to wake up and get breakfast. These idiots woke up with murder on their mind.”
June Bug, known to throw up gang signs, was set to graduate early in December.
He and his girlfriend were also expecting a baby in October.
“One boy won’t ever get to grow up with his dad,” Tangie bemoaned.

Honor roll, graduating early…sounds like Jomiltron Fair Jr was trying to improve his life. Not sure if he had a counselor/mentor guiding him towards college and a future career but he definitely had a chance with the strides he was making. It’s horrible that he wasn’t allowed to live and achieve his goals. May GOD’s grace and mercy comfort the family. ✝️💜

Parents, Guardians and Caretakers: Please, please, please stop sending your children out to “play” with friends or just hang out unsupervised and unmonitored. We see whats out there right now. You must, must, must find programs, clubs and organizations that they can join that will build their characters. So when they reach adulthood, they can find or create a positive path ahead, hopefully, with your help of they need it. You may be ill, struggling or working hard. I know its tough to navigate life these days, but you must do it to save your, and other people’s children. We can’t have our children destroying lives, including their own because someone looked at them, laughed in their directions or even got into a fight or disagreement with one of their friends. Their pride and self-worrh must be built-up so they can ignore, walk-away or simply forgive their way out of situations where their honor feels tested. We see what’s going on out here. You are the bridge that connects the children you have been given to care for to that which will elevate their consciousness and dignity. This suffering has to stop and those who care for our children are the keys necessary to begin shutting this suffering of families down. WE MUST TEACH OUR CHILDREN ABOUT HUMANITY, THE VALUE OF LIFE, KARMA AND THAT THE NEGATIVE CONTENT THEY SEE ON TV AND HEAR IN MUSIC “ARE NOT” INSTRUCTION MANUALS FOR HIOW TO LIVE THEIR LIVES!!
