JONESBORO — This week’s “I F*cked Up A Good Job Award🏆” goes to quondam Rockdale County Sheriff’s Deputy Jova’a Jackson, 31, who was thrown in the slammer after she deleted her felon baby daddy, 28-year-old Terrell Douglas, because he dumped her ass. The fatality transpired around 8 p.m. on June 4, 2023 at the Southlake Cove Apartments in Jonesboro, Georgia. In May 2023, a pregnant Jova’a was forced to resign in lieu of termination after she was caught f*cking Terrell while he was locked up. Yep, she chose a phallus over her métier. As soon as Terrell was granted manumission, he broke up with Jova’a — sparking a bout of contretemps. As the argument intensified, Jova’a pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Terrell multiple times. When police arrived, he was sprawled out near the entrance of an apartment door.
Terrell was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Jova’a turned herself in two days later. She was arrested and charged with malice murder, stalking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Social media reaction was unforgiving. One commenter wrote, “She was upset that she sacrificed everything for him and he didn’t want her anymore.”
Another chimed in with, “What a clown🤡. Ruined her career and gave up her freedom over a damn felon.”
A third person added, “The only question I have is: What’s wrong with these women of today? She gave up her career and freedom for some thug ding-a-ling😮. It’s ok to be single until the right person comes.”
Jova’a was hired by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office in October 2015.
