LUMBERTON — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Chamberlain Lee Oxendine was thrown in the slammer after he smoked his best friend, 21-year-old rapper Tazarie “JBo” Butler, over a chick. The sanguinary ordeal transpired around 9 p.m. on June 27, 2023 at a residence at 134 Beam Street in Lumberton, North Carolina. According to reports, Chamberlain’s 304 posted a sexy pic on Facebook to show off her fat ass and big titties. Tazarie noticed and showed his appreciation by clicking the “Like” button — sparking a big argument. “That’s my bitch! Show some respect, nigga!” Chamberlain reportedly yelled. “I meant nothin’ by it,” Tazarie allegedly replied. As the squabble intensified, Chamberlain pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Tazarie multiple times. Then, to add insult to homicide, Chamberlain wasn’t arrested until a month later even though he bragged publicly about taking Tazarie’s life. Chamberlain’s brother, Joshton Locklear, was at the scene of the crime — donning an ankle monitor. That n*gga killed two people at a birthday party 🎂 and somehow got house arrest.
Tazarie’s dad went online and disseminated a crazy message in the aftermath of his son’s quietus. “On behalf of Tazarie Butler, if I ever [like] y’all ladies picture, whether you got a boyfriend/husband, that do not mean I wanna f*ck,” he wrote. Social media reaction was just as wild. One commenter wrote, “This was about more than a Facebook like. Chamberlin was hella jealous. These dudes are more emotional than females nowadays. It’s like roles are reversed. Men acting like women, and women acting like men.”
Another chimed in with, “Bro, you shouldn’t be liking a picture of your best friend’s woman. Come on now.”
A third person added, “That was the stupidest thing he couldn’t ever done. Shoot your best friend because he liked your wife’s picture. Now you’re locked up for murder, leaving your wife all alone to be pursued by other niggas. Should have thought twice about that.”
Tazarie became a rapper after he tore his ACL playing football his junior year in high school.
He collaborated with Lil Boosie and Big 30.
