HOUSTON — The adventures of Pookiesha & Ray Ray continue. Dasja Wilmore, 25, was thrown in the slammer after she deleted 26-year-old Asia Stewart during a street fight. The senseless crime transpired around midnight on February 8, 2026 at Wesley Square Apartments in Houston, Texas. After completing a 16-hour shift as a security guard, Asia heard her sister was engaged in a bout of fisticuffs so she rushed to the apartment complex to help. As a matter of fact, several 304s were involved. During the melee, Asia noticed one of her friends was gettin’ pummeled so she stepped in to intervene. That’s when Dasja pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Asia in the abdomen at point-blank range. The toy cop was transported to Ben Taub Hospital via private vehicle, where she was pronounced dead. Detectives found a pair of 9mm cartridge casings, torn clothing and hair weave at the crime scene that suggested a brawl took place.
An eyewitness snitched on Dasja, telling investigators she fired several additional shots while fleeing in a vehicle. After being identified by multiple witnesses through a double-blind photo array, Dasja was arrested and charged with murder. Asia’s father — Carlton Stewart — told reporters his daughter was the mother of four children, ages 3,6,8 and 11. Asia should’ve went home.
“I preached to Asia all the time about talking. ‘Stop, think, then go with what you need to do,’” Carlton said.
I’m sure my voice was in her head telling her she needed to be home. But for the love of her sister, she came.”
Carlton also addressed Dasja in court, telling her, “I’m not mad at you, I’m more hurt at you.”
Huh?
Social media reaction was wild.
One commenter wrote, “Meeting up to fight like you’re in high school… go home to your kids.”
Another person added, “Does the dad really think that he did a good job of raising that young woman? I’m just saying. Pieces of hair on the ground. The ‘celebration of life’ at the end. Lord have mercy. R.I.P. This is a tragedy.”
