BRISTOL — It’s all about the Benjamins💸, baby! On Thursday’s edition of ESPN’s “First Take,” host Stephen A. Smith lambasted Darryn Peterson of the Kansas Jayhawks for bringing load management to college basketball. After swishing a 3-pointer early in the second half of KU’s 81-69 victory over Oklahoma State on Wednesday, Peterson turned to head coach Bill Self and communicated something to the effect of, “Take me out, bitch!” He ended up playing a measly 18 minutes out of 40, which is close to his average. Peterson, projected to be the No. 1 pick in the impending NBA Draft, has also missed a lot of games. Coach Self called Peterson’s lack of availability “disappointing.” Jason Whitlock, host of “Fearless,” believes Peterson hates basketball. Dan Le Batard echoed a homogeneous sentiment. The 19-year-old superstar is gettin’ excoriated from every angle. “Let me say this: There is no team in hell that should grab Darryn Peterson number one,” Stephen A. said.

“You cannot do it. The first ability is availability. You pull yourself out? And it ain’t the first time he’s done it. Cramps? Flu? What? I can’t believe what I’m seeing from this guy.”

“This is business,” Stephen A. continued.

“I can’t trust him. I cannot.”

Stephen A. is right. This is business. Sports are no longer about fans and competition. Everything’s corporate now. It’s about gambling, scripted entertainment and gettin’ the bag💰. That’s why we shouldn’t take offense to Peterson’s stratagem. He’s already the nation’s top prospect and shoe deals and other endorsements await. Then, there’s salary. KU paid Peterson $3 million in NIL.

If the kid stays healthy, he’ll get $60 million guaranteed from the NBA.

That means Peterson has nothing to gain and everything to lose by playing a lot of minutes and risking injury.

JT Toppin of Texas Tech and Richie Saunders of BYU both suffered torn ACLs that put their NBA futures in doubt.

Peterson is trying to elude a homogeneous kismet.

His stance means the clueless black athlete is no longer clueless.

It’s sort of a revolution.

Peterson gave Coach Self an order and he obeyed.

Yep, brothas have flipped the script.

Now they’re barking commands at old white men and they’re getting away with it.

That’s because negro athletes are cash cows, not their coaches.

Fans pay high-ass ticket prices to watch black men catch a football🏈 or dribble a basketball🏀 .

They’re not expending mazuma to descry grandpa roaming the sideline.

The clueless black athlete finally knows his worth, and he’s worth billions.

Now they need to figure out a way to secure proprietorship.

In case you didn’t know, college football, college basketball, the NBA and NFL are billion dollar corporations where the marketable commodity is more than 70 percent negro (making blacks the majority and whites the minority).

Yet, negroes have zero ownership.

It’s stupid and inexcusable.

ESPN’s Dick Vitale disseminated a tweet, imploring Coach Self to jettison Peterson.

“Sometimes a divorce is good for everyone involved & I firmly believe that needs to happen,” Vitale wrote.

“The Darryn Peterson soap opera needs to end. It has to be a nightmare for ALL involved- so sad as Darryn’s talent is off the charts.”

Do you have a problem with Peterson’s load management?

Is it time to abolish the one-and-done rule?

Watch Stephen A., Whitlock and Le Batard give their two cents.

  1. They will humble him asap in the league trust. At least get that contract first.

  2. This is why I stopped watchin sports in general…today’s athletes are trash! No pride no toughness! They want the bag and praise w/o puttin in the work!

  3. What if Peterson trying to tank his draft stock so he don’t have go to a “rebuilding team”

  4. They ought to just give him the shadeur treatment and let his ass fall in the draft on national tv

  5. Stephen A. is only talking shit because his contract is guaranteed. Peterson is trying to get his guaranteed money.

  6. black people need to learn to do what’s best for us because you better believe whitey is doing what’s best for his people
