MARION — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Jimmy Woods, 34, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered his estranged wife, 27-year-old Alesia Janay King, because she sought a divorce. The femicide transpired at their residence on August 15, 2021 in Marion, Alabama. According to police reports, Alesia — a victim of domestic violence — told Jimmy she was sick and tired of being his punching bag and she wanted out of the marriage. Alesia moved in and out with relatives. She filed a restraining order. She also called the police on Jimmy multiple times for domestic abuse. But he kept gettin’ out of jail. On the day of the murder, around 1:30 a.m., Jimmy shot Alesia in the head before wrapping her body in a tarp that was secured with duct tape. Then he set their mobile home on fire to destroy evidence. Jimmy drove Alesia’s corpse way across town. Their Ford F-150 was found abandoned around 2:45 p.m. on Rutledge Road. Alesia’s cadaver was in the back.
Jimmy’s punk-ass surrendered to police the next day.
He was arrested and charged with murder and corpse abuse.
The couple’s 5-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son are now orphans.
What’s sad is Jimmy proclaimed to be a Christian. He posted several messages on Facebook, thanking God for sending Alesia to be his wife. Social media reaction was vicious. One commenter wrote, “All that fake corny ‘God is good all the time’ talk should be a red flag for everyone by now. People in the hood use ‘God’ and church sayings like crackheads use ‘I swear to God I ain’t steal your TV to buy crack.'”
Another chimed in with, “Please leave these Pookies alone. RIP babygirl.😢”
A third person added, “Any man that can’t decide between a full haircut or dreadlocks can’t be trusted.”

i was just involved in a attempted murder/ suicide… He shot me in both legs with one bullet and shattered my femurs..he then tried to shoot me in my forehead. missed by a half inch from taking my life amd grazed my scalp. I had 5 staples in my head.. he then turned the gun on himself as i watched the life leave from his body .
i now am walking and trying to do recover but still in a lot of pain. My physical wounds are healing but the mental scars are far from healed. 12 yrs in a relationship with a man who i had my only three kids with. Planned a future and life with. Gone in a matter of seconds.
