CLEVELAND — Western women are killing me. Every time we start to feel better about ’em, something heinous transpires. I’m damn near ready to get a passport. Kristel Candelario, a 32-year-old mother of two in Cleveland, is serving life in prison with no parole after she left her 16-month-old daughter — Jailyn — home alone for 10 days so she could go on vacation with a dude. You can’t make this sh*t up. Kristel left the poor child at home from June 6th to June 16th while she traveled to Detroit then Puerto Rico. When Kristel returned home, she found Jailyn motionless and called police. Investigators said the toddler was “in a Pack-N-Play pen on a liner soiled with urine and feces with soiled blankets.” An emaciated Jailyn lost 13 pounds. The judge threw the book at Kristel’s stupid ass. Now she’ll spend the rest of her miserable existence vacationing behind bars.
“Today, we remember Jailyn — a beautiful baby girl who was taken from this world due to her mother’s unimaginable selfishness,” said Cuyahoga County prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “The thought of going on vacation for 10 days and leaving your child to starve to death in her Pack-N-Play is a new low in parental care.” After gettin’ sentenced, Kristel had the audacity to blame depression for the crime. “I’m extremely hurt about everything that happened,” Kristel bemoaned.
“I am not trying to justify my actions, but nobody knew how much I was suffering and what I was going through — God and my daughter have forgiven me.”

No neighbor heard that poor baby cry? Gosh I can’t stomach these anymore, how can mothers do these!! She cried in court?? What a joke. Because she didn’t care when she left for the airport and landed in Puerto Rico w her supposed boyfriend. She ate and drank water, and left a poor baby alone w no water nor food? How inhumane.
I just don’t understand this type of mentality. A man and a vacation were much more imporisn’t then her child. She didn’t want the child.Why didn’t she put it up for adoption? What did she think was gonna happen When she walked through that door after ten days? Did she not realize this vacation was Was going to cost her the death penalty or life in prison? What the heck?
Is wrong with people like this. How could you not know your child Would be suffering a slow and painful death.

mental illness is no excuse in this case. she went to 2 different places without her child, didn’t make any accommodations for someone to watch her child, didn’t make any accommodations to TAKE her baby with her, but instead went and had fun as if she had no children at all. I hope she rots for this 🤷♀️ it’s a crazy thought that she would leave her for Michigan to begin with then come home but to come home and leave her AGAIN just shows she didn’t care. I feel iffy about her grandparents not asking about her and where the baby is while their daughters doing all this I just have so many questions.

Wtf. I can’t even fathom this. Some people are purely sick. How hard was it to find a babysitter or better yet, since she had no interest in being a mother to this beautiful girl she could have easily brought her baby to any hospital or fire department with no questions asked. It’s called the Safe Haven law. Instead she decides to leave the baby home alone for 10 F-ing days? 🙄

How do you even walk out of the door without your child.. let alone get on a plane knowing your child is home alone… a child too young to do anything for itself.. to go have a vacation? How do you even have fun? Absolutely disgusting
The truth, this sorry excuse of a female doesn’t care what she did to her poor baby, she just sorry that she got caught and going to prison. The other tragedy is the immense guilt the grandparents will have for the rest of their lives that they couldn’t protect their granddaughter even though they didn’t know the situation until after the fact. That disgusting female had ample of opportunities to do the right thing from the beginning but going on holiday to whore around with her boyfriend was more important to her. And as someone that have suffered from mental health issues all my life, using that as an excuse doesn’t wash me, you still have a sense of knowing right from wrong, I mean if she had profound mental issues she wouldn’t have this poor innocent angel under her care on her own. These evil people knew exactly what they were doing but simply didn’t care but now try to get any excuse in the book instead of admitting their guilt. (And honestly, when you’re going through a mental crisis, going on holiday is the last thing you want to do.) Anyway, the only comfort in all of this is that the baby girl is at peace, away from an evil selfish woman, and she’s locked up for a long time unable to ever have another child. I do profoundly believe her punishment will continue after this life.
