KANSAS CITY, Kan. — First, Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Ming took a bullet for a Pookie-lovin’ chick who sucks at picking men. Now this. Dennis Edward Mitchell III, 31, was thrown behind bars after he went “Grand Theft Auto” on Kansas City, Kansas Police Officer Hunter Simoncic during a chase. The line of duty quietus transpired around 1 a.m. on August 26, 2025 in the vicinity of 75th & State Avenue — near Kansas City Kansas Community College. Simoncic, 26, was reportedly setting up stop sticks to end the high-speed pursuit when Mitchell hopped a median and ran over his ass on purpose. Then he ditched the car and fled the scene in a stolen vehicle. After crashing a few blocks away, Mitchell was arrested and transported to the hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. Then, he was charged with one count of capital murder, one count of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, two counts of theft and one count of criminal possession of a weapon. He’s facing the death penalty.

“It’s another sad day here in Kansas City, Kansas,” said Unified Government Mayor Tyrone Garner during Tuesday’s press conference. “We have a lot of good officers here… He was one of ’em, doing his job to keep this community safe. [He was] a young man that came to work and, like everybody else, wanted to go home. And he was denied that through senseless, unnecessary violence.”

Telling you dawg, many cops and first responders are contemplating quitting their jobs because line of duty deaths are piling up.

The aforementioned Deputy Ming was murdered by Shawn Harris.

Firefighter Graham Hoffman was stabbed to death by Shanetta Bossell.

Now we’re waving goodbye to Officer Simoncic.

Mothaf*ckas are crazy this day and age, and they don’t mind going to prison.

Makes you wonder if it’s worth it.

Officer Simoncic RIP.

They put their lives out there every day to keep the evil off the streets, even for the police haters. Think twice when you judge them. Our prayers are with this family and with the department of this officer😢
