KATY — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Norman Lee Johnson, 42, was thrown in the slammer after he Ctrl-Alt-Deleted his cousins, 52-year-old Christopher Lopez and 52-year-old Trinette Rayson-Lopez, because they were awarded custody of his 7-year-old daughter. The sanguinary ordeal transpired around 5:45 a.m. on January 12, 2026 in Katy, Texas. Because Norman sucked as a father, the court gave the little girl to Chris and Trinette — his biological cousin. The custody battle lasted for years before being finalized in 2024. That’s when a pissed-off Norman threatened to terminate the adoptive parents if they didn’t hand over the child. “Nigga, I’ll kill you!” Norman told Chris who responded by filing a police report. When his demands weren’t met, Norman drove 2-and-a-half hours from Harris County to Chris’ home in Katy, forced himself inside, pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Chris in the face and Trinette in the head. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said one of the cadavers was sprawled out on the living room floor, the other was in the kitchen. Norman was arrested the next day and charged with two counts of capital murder. “The motive likely stemmed from custodial issues,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters, noting that the “suspect is the biological father of the victims’ adoptive juvenile daughter.”

Family members are livid.

“I hope he is judged to the fullest extent of the law,” said Kristina Rayston, the Lopezes’ adult daughter.

“My family took his daughter in when he lost custody. We raised her, loved her, and kept her safe. We were repaid by him taking their lives, and taking away the family his daughter loved and trusted.”

Chris and Trinette, high school sweethearts, were married 28 years.

They adopted Norman’s daughter from foster care.

  1. Just goes to show the government shouldnt have shit to do with awarding custody

  2. That was HIS daughter, not theirs. He gave them 7 years to give him his daughter back. They could have adopted a girl no one wanted. Instead, they fought him on it for years and this was the outcome.

  3. Pride…. he couldn’t accept anybody having more control than him over his daughter 😶😶😶

  4. You should have given that biological father his child. I’m on Norman side ✊🏿💯
And if anybody trying to adopt someone kid. And the father say I said no he wants his child your best bet is to give that child up it’s not your kid.

  5. Low life dirt bag just could not be happy for his daughter in getting a family that truly loved and cared about her.

  6. What’s the point murdering them when she will be adopted by another family. smdh, dumb.

  7. A parent who loves a biological child, would want what’s best for the child! There’s a reason why he was denied legal custody of the child!

  8. I know that this is off the subject, but what happened to the 7 year old’s mother?

  9. He showing exactly why he did not get visitation. The wife that was shot was his own cousin. A damn shame.

  10. So now she will go into foster care. What a stupid and dangerous POS!

  11. The loser didn’t care about his daughter at all, he just didn’t like seeing his daughter happy and being raised by a better man.

  12. 😢 WHEN ANYONE TELLS YOU THEY WILL KILL YOU JUST TAKE IT VERY SERIOUSLY

  13. Well now you won’t see your daughter. She’ll still call someone else “Dad”😒

  14. Government separating families is really sad. I don’t think God intended society to be like this at all.
