KILLEEN — “If I can’t have you, no one can!” Residents of Killeen, Texas are in mourning after John Thomas Gaither, 43, deleted his wife, 44-year-old fashionista Kisha Gates Gaither, before blowing his own brains out. The uxoricide-suicide transpired around 3 p.m. on October 25, 2025 at their residence in the 5400 block of Williamette Lane. According to reports, Kisha told John she was sick and tired of his bullsh*t so she’s seeking a divorce. A bout of contretemps ensued. As the quarrel intensified, John pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Kisha multiple times before taking his own life. “My cousin went to check on her and found them there,” Kisha’s daughter, Rosalynda Gates, told reporters as she fought back tears. “It was raining so hard when I got there. It rained so hard.” What’s crazy is John and Kisha appeared to be the perfect couple on social media.
But, behind closed doors, it was pure hell.
Kisha, a prepossessing redbone, was the founder of Vision of Fashion. “She graced Paris Fashion Week and collaborated with celebrated designers, including Timeekah Murphy of Alani Taylor, whose work has been seen on icons like Beyoncé,” her obituary states. Kisha also ran her own catering business, Boujee Foodie🥩. And, the talented mother of two was a three-time cancer survivor.
John was the founder of A1 Overhead Doors.
He wasn’t the breadwinner💰, Kisha was.
But he still gave jobs to destitute mothaf*ckas in need.
“He started A1 Overhead Doors by himself,” said Sharon Gaither, John’s cousin.
He would give the shirt off his back, the shoes off of his feet to someone in need… He hired people in need of employment, whom had no skills or experience. He taught them and turned them into garage door technicians.”
Two weeks before the shooting, Kisha defended John with a profanity-laced diatribe on Facebook.
Scuttlebutt has it, he was bipolar and didn’t take his meds.
Family and friends told Kisha to get the hell away from John.
But she took offense.
“It’s crazy how EVERYONE expects my husband to be there for them but NOBODY can show up for him,” Kisha wrote.
“During this time when my husband needs emotional, spiritual and mental support, everyone wants to turn their head. I don’t give a f*ck who you are. F*CK ALL OF YOU!!! My husband has NEVER turned anyone away, not even a stranger. But I promise you, when he is better, NO ONE is going to have access to him like that again!!!”

So she basically bought a husband? She was the bread winner and made the mistake a lot of women make. She hyped him up to protect his ego. She over compensated with all of the compliments and posting trying to make him feel secure because she knew he wasn’t on her level. Women who date men who have less than them will always end up being hated because her success will remind him of his failures. Women use social media to present an image of their man they want the world to see because they are hiding the truth and hoping all the attention will make him happy and feel like a man.
