DALLAS — Law enforcement officials confirmed Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice was racing his rented Lamborghini on Saturday, March 30th when he caused a 6-vehicle crash in Dallas, Texas. Then, instead of waiting for police, he exacerbated the situation by fleeing the scene. Several motorists and passengers were injured. Rice was racing SMU receiver Teddy Knox (who was driving a Corvette) when he hit a median and lost control — causing all hell to break loose. Rice and Knox are friends. “The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information,” the police report states. Officers also found 10.8 grams of marijuana in Rice’s car. Damn. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude that Rice and the fellas were drunk and/or high. Therefore, they ran.

Nevertheless… after gettin’ busted, the 23-year-old wideout posted an apology on Instagram. “Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident,” Rice wrote. “I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.”

Rice’s lawyer, Royce West, echoed a homogeneous sentiment.

“He’s a young man who made a mistake,” he told reporters.

Rashee apparently didn’t learn a damn thang from Henry Ruggs’ deadly car crash. A drunken Ruggs, if you recall, killed a woman and her dog while racing his sports car in 2021. The Las Vegas Raiders cut his black ass shortly after the incident, then voided his contract. Ruggs was driving 156 miles per hour when he struck the woman’s car. Then he and his girlfriend watched the lady and her doggie burn to death when her vehicle became engulfed in flames. Ruggs is serving 3 to 10 years in prison.

Rice is gonna f*ck around and be next.

Social media reaction was fierce.

One commenter wrote, “Street racing in Texas is a felony. Leaving the scene of an accident is a felony. Lock him up.”

Another chimed in with, “I think he will be ok with the NFL because he’s a Chief, and our NFL loves the Chiefs.”

A third person added, “And black people wonder why police harass them.”

Police said Rice was traveling 119 miles per hour.

  1. People place way too much importance on guys who play with balls in this country.

  2. Chiefs are my team. But this cannot be left unpunished. They need to release him, cancel the contract. NFL needs to suspend him indefinitely.

  3. Is this an example as to why we dont see many black people in Nascar?

  4. @daleburnfart: There is a reason you hardly ever see any black race car drivers. Handing yourself behind the well is way different than running with a ball in your hand.
